I Resolve to NOT Resolve

I have tried to make resolutions (okay, I AM only one year old so I have only tried ONCE) but they are just not me. Basically we are talking promises one makes, right? Promises we hope to keep, right? WELL, I make promises all the time FULLY with the intention of keeping them. They just don't always work for me.

Let's take the promise I made to Mommys #1 and #2 just  a WEEK AGO -

I,
Noodles the Pug,
Promise
to
STAY OFF THE COUCH.

As you can tell by this picture taken the day AFTER Christmas, I DID NOT keep THAT one!

    I thought that's why our 'rents bought a sofa. For us pugs to sleep on. That looks like a nice sofa to snuggle on...keep out of the rain. I wouldn't stay off it either Noodles.

    It's really hard to stay off the couch. All furniture should be pug friendly anyways. hehe

    Oh Noodles! You look so cute on the couch! That has to count for something. Either that or you were in a Christmas foodcoma, which is a dispensation to your promise - it wasn't your fault!! (That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!)

    Minnie ATE our couch. We aren't getting a new one until she learns not to eat furniture!

    Stay off the couch?? That's inhumane! I'm going to come and rescue you right away! You can lay on my couch all you want and Mom will vacuum it every other day. Isn't that why we have Moms? Oh for that and the food distribution of course.

    PS My mom tried the no couch rule too when I first came to live with her - it lasted precisely one day!

    That's inhumane! I'm going to come and save you right away! You can lay on my sofa all you want and Mom will machine it every other day. Isn't that why we have Moms? Oh for that and the meals submission of course.
