I TROT For Food

Do you have a FOOD TROT?
I certainly do. And I TROT the same pattern each and every MEALTIME - accompanied by a series of pants, yips and whines.
Here's what I do.

  1. Trot to Mommy - the food retreiver
  2. Trot around the kitchen in anticipation
  3. Trot to the garage (where the food is) and immediately return to the kitchen
  4. Trot downstairs to the den (2 steps, really) and QUICKLY trot around the coffee table
  5. Trot to the garage and back again
  6. Trot around the kitchen
  7. Trot to the front door and back
  8. Trot ONE MORE TIME around the coffee table (I leap past the steps)
  9. TROT around the kitchen AND MY FULL DISH IS THERE WAITING FOR ME

After all that TROTTING, I am more than ready to chow down.
What is your FOOD TROT like?

Noodles you sure do work up your appetite! Way to work on your lovely lady humps.
We just look disdainfully at the kibble from afar. Don't even get up unless Mom finally puts some warm broth or cheese on it. Then we MIGHT eat it.

I have to sit on the rug in the living room and wait until I am told I can go race to my bowl. I always cry and squirm in anticipation and it is always worth it.

Well, I did not mention the TORTURE of having to sit and stare at my bowl until I get the go-ahead. ARRRRRGH! Just let me EAT IT already!

Noodles, I do not trot. I take up residence in front of the pantry where my food is kept. I can lay there, guarding the door, for hours.

When it is time to eat, I have to sit and wait for the command before I can go to my bowl. It's some ridiculous ritual that the human came up with.

Keep up your trotting!

Awwwww Noodles... I made the mistake of lettin my mom see this. She went all WILD and stuffs and then she MADE ME READ IT ALL OVER AGAIN LIKE 87 TIMES... She said it was to teach me about what I (Frankie Furter) am supposed to act like when foods are being prepared.
I PREFER to Ignore anything that isn't Cheese, Milk, or Milkbone related. hehehe Drives the woman CRAZY

Noodles we wake our mommy up everyday at 6:30 and lead her downstairs to the kitchen where our food bin is. We then start telling her to hurry it up with the food while running around our bowl. She then makes us sit in front of our bowls with the food inside and counts to ten before we can eat it. Don't know why we have to wait to eat when we don't make her wait for her food.

Noodles you are lovely! Of course I have a food trot! Who doesn't?! And isn't it amazing that when you're done with the food trot, the food is there waiting for you magically!

Webster and Liberty do a circle dance from the kitchen, through the dining room and into the living room where we all eat. The funny part is that one circles left and the other circles right. Everyone knows where their dish will go so they stop and sit in that spot. Then, they get their food in order ... from the oldest to the youngest.

I do a complete dance. Jumping and making noise...cheerleader style, Give me a 'F', Give me an 'O', Give me another 'O', Give me a 'D'!!
What's that spell....FOOD!

We'd love to see some video of the trot, Noodles! About an hour before meal-time, Sid sits in front of the fridge and stares at his food bin which is kept on top. If we look at him, he looks back at us and then does a quick glance up to the food bin as if to say "Hey guys, see that food bin up there? I want some of that....NOW!". Of course, like you, he has to wait. He sits in his bed while the food bowl gets filled and then has to wait until we give him the OK before he commences chomping.

Hi, They just stand there and look at me at the same time every night! I always know when my son doesn't feed them on time because they all gather in the kitchen!
Have a great day!
