Plotting Plums

I am Plotting for PLUMS
Their juiciness is so PLUMB
Sweet, sweet nectar when PLUMP
Escorts me out of my GLUM
And into the FUN
I don't want to be a BUM
About my love for the PLUM
But Ill happily beat DRUMS
For those orbs of YUM

The Talk Around The Water Cooler Is . . . #chewyinfluencer

Noodles: "Did you know Chewy.com carries pharmaceuticals now?"
Moose: "No! You don't say!
Sunshine: "Of course they do. They are a full service site for PETS!"

So much can happen at the water cooler. It is where all of the OFFICE GOSSIP happens. Sometimes, it is where the best decisions are made, as well - like who gets Rocky Raccoon or Lamb Chop for the day? Sometimes, it is just the best place in the world to BOND and get to know one another.

In the past we did not do this because we had a small water bowl. It sat in the corner and we'd wander over when thirsty. But that was before that FATEFUL DAY when Chewy.com asked us to REVIEW the Drinkwell Stainless Multi-Pet Pet Fountain. The KEY here is MULTI-PET. Up until now, all of our watering "holes" were decidedly SOLO.

CAN dogs and cats REALLY get along?

Being the SUPERSPORTS that we are, we said SURE, not knowing what we were in for. But a water fountain sounded like fun so we anxiously awaited the package. According to the literature about the Drinkwell fountain, a fountain is really a sensible way to provide healthy clean water for any pet. Because it mirrors a natural water source (free flowing), it encourages pets to drink more.

(I dunno about that, though, we are all house born and bred so the "in the wild" thing is kinda foreign to us.)

In any case, the Drinkwell is dishwasher safe (except for the pump), holds 1 gallon of water, has an adjustable flow with 1 - 5 water streams, and has an almost silent pump.

It arrived when My Mommys were in Florida and so it had to WAIT to be assembled. It was worth the wait, if I can GET AHEAD of myself here.

The many parts that need to be assembled

After a lot of HUFFING and PUFFING and "I DON'T KNOW"s, Mommy FINALLY had the water fountain assembled. It isn't that the instructions are DIFFICULT. Not at all. There are just a lot of them and the order of assembly was weird to Mommy. Afterward, though, the instructions all made sense and it came out fine.

Forgive the CROOKED flow restrictor. SOME
PUGGY messed with it pre-photo
At first we were not at all happy with the new fountain. I wouldn't go near it because it was making noise (like water flowing) and I kept getting my ear wet in the stream of water.

WHA' the PUG, MOM!!!

Moose was the BOLDEST of all of us but at first even he didn't like the dripping water. Molly has not yet bonded with the fountain and I have NOT seen her drink at all. She probably goes upstairs and drinks from Sunshine's bowl in Aunt T's room. Sunshine was shy at first but has since decided it is a GOOD THING. We had a smaller fountain a long long time ago and she already knew what to expect. I didn't remember at first, but then she told me about it and I said "Oh yeah!" After that, I decided the fountain is the WAY TO GO!

Now, many days later, it is the GO-TO place in the house. The water is delicious and the "almost silent" pump and streaming water create an almost ZEN GARDEN-like atmosphere in the water fountain vicinity. It is a very nice sound to nap by.

Now you do have to replace the water filters every 2-3 weeks and they cost about $1.50 - $3.00 each depending on where you buy them. Chewy.com currently has a special on them - 3 for $5.03 (that's 58% off). But here's the thing - the fountain totally works whether or not you use a filter. It is NICE to have filtered water, but it is not a HAVE TO. And Drinkwell recommends that the whole fountain be cleaned at least when the filters are changed and that is okay. Like I said, all of it except the pump can go in the dishwasher. Chewy.com also sells the cleaning tools if you'd rather clean the fountain by PAW - it is 57% off right now HERE.

We are happy happy happy to have the fountain and its tasty water at our disposal. I would even go so far as recommend it to anyPUGGY thinking of investing in a fountain or in replacing a different one. The Drinkwell multi-pet fountain is a nice appliance and it so far has LIVED UP TO its press.

We give it the Casa de Noodles

** I received free of charge from Chewy.com ONE Drinkwell Stainless Multi-Pet pet Fountain for the purpose of trying it and seeing if I love/hate it. All opinions in this blog are mine alone and I received no monetary compensation for them.

Thirty Day Challenge Wrap Up #chewyinfluencer

This has been the ABSOLUTE BEST 30 Day Challenge YET. Thank you Chewy.com for allowing us this opportunity! We have so enjoyed Duck Duck Goose by Stella and Chewy AND we think IT has enjoyed US. What, you say? What does that mean?

Simply put

1. It has helped me stay SLIMMER because it is such good food NOTHING goes to waste and subsequently turn into fat

2. It has given all of us the ENERGY of puppies - even Moose. As a guest, he also ate Duck Duck Goose. He thought it was GREAT (but took too long to prepare)

3. My already LOVELY FURS is softer and brighter than before. And SOFT. . . Mommy said she cannot stop petting me because my fur is so wonderfully soft
4. It tastes so good that the FIVE MINUTE wait for it to re-hydrate makes us go crazy!!! We jump and yip because we just cannot wait to EAT its deliciousness
5. A RAW diet, which Stella and Chewy Duck Duck Goose is, although the food is dehydrated, is beneficial to our health by providing the high protein diet canines need. Mommy also gives us a lot of fruit and veggies to round out our diet. But the bulk of any dog's diet should be protein. We were both in good health BEFORE the 30 day challenge; but NOW we are a step peppier and a bit more radiant. The health of our FURS is a good indicator of our overall health

IN SUMMARY

All of us, including MOOSE but not including Lulu because she did not like S&C at all, really thrived on the food. We came running the instant we heard the bag opening and jumped and vocalized the whole time it was being prepared. It took mere SECONDS for all three of us to DOWN our meal. Then we were off and running to PLAY some more. Because, even the small amount of food we get (Molly and I get a patty and a half per meal) SATISFIED our hunger. Now, understand that I will beg for any food being prepared in the kitchen or being eaten anywhere in my vicinity - but that is a TOTAL PUG thing and not related at all to being hungry. The simple fact that we WALK AWAY speaks volumes in PUG SPEAK.

Stella and Chewy Duck Duck Goose Patties is a really good food - available in other flavors if DUCK and GOOSE is not your thing (Chicken, Beef, Lamb, Rabbit, Salmon, and Turkey) - so there is bound to be something to please your pup.

We thought long and hard about this and we decided Stella and Chewy Patties deserves MORE than just the seal of approval from Casa de Noodles so we are awarding it the MANY PAWS award for excellence above and beyond.

**We received free of charge from Chewy.com a month's worth of Stella and Chewy Duck Duck Goose patties so we could try it and assess its affect on our health. We were not paid for trying it nor for our opinions about the product. As always, all opinions are ours and ours alone.

Glorious Golden Hills Signaling Summer is Really Here

It is the middle of July and the days are warm and sunny. This is what happens to our green foothills when the sun toasts it - they turn GOLDEN.

I love when they look like this. It is so special.

By the end of August, they will be drier and a darker brown. In fact, they will be almost gray.

In the meantime, I am going to enjoy the view while I can.

In This Line-up, Where Does Sunshine Fit? #Chewyinfluencer

Front to Back:
Lulu, Moose, Noodles, Molly

Sunshine is missing from this picture. She has been sorta keeping a low profile since our house guests arrived. She disappeared into the depths of Aunt T's room and did not come downstairs until Moose had been here a week. By that time she was anxious for her regular routine and run of the house. PLUS. she heard she had received a box from Chewy.com and she was curious to find out what it was.

Is that for MOI?

It was a case of Taste of the Wild Rocky Mountain GRAIN FREE canned cat food in 3 oz cans. Wow! This was a food Sunshine had NEVER tried before and she was rather excited about it. THAT night she finally got to try it and . . .

 . . . She absolutely LOVES IT!

I am being serious! She is enjoying this food MORE than any food she has eaten in the past 3 months - and she totally LOVED each of them. I am not sure what it is about Taste of the Wild Rocky Mountain GRAIN FREE, but she loves loves loves it. May it is the top-notched ingredients

Ingredients
Salmon, Fish Broth, Chicken Broth, Chicken Liver, Chicken, Dried Egg Whites, Potato Starch, Pea Flour, Smoked Salmon, Roasted Venison, Peas, Ocean Fish, Guar Gum, Natural Flavor, Sunflower Oil, Sodium Phosphate, Salt, Potassium Chloride, Inulin, Tomatoes, Blueberries, Raspberries, Taurine, Dl-Methionine, Choline Chloride, Iron Amino Acid Chelate, Zinc Amino Acid Chelate, Thiamine Mononitrate, Yucca Schidigera Extract, Vitamin E Supplement, Copper Amino Acid Chelate, Manganese Amino Acid Chelate, Sodium Selenite, Niacin Supplement, D-Calcium Pantothenate, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Riboflavin Supplement, Vitamin A Supplement, Biotin, Potassium Iodide, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Folic Acid.
Caloric Content
957 kcal/kg, 81 kcal/3 oz can, 149 kcal/5.5 oz can
That looks like a lot of really good stuff to me. I think Sunshine would agree with that. Like I said, she came DOWNSTAIRS in search of it. And that is a pretty big deal since she was hiding from strange DOGS. I say DOGS because about that time, Lulu arrived.

Taste of the Wild is not just tasty. There is no denying that Sunshine likes the food. She is not the pickiest feline but she does KNOW what she likes. Taste of the Wild Rocky Mountain Grain Free is also very very good for her. Look at these benefits from eating the food -
  • Protein rich - especially important to an older kitty. It helps promote strong muscles to keep them active
  • Vitamins, antioxidants, Omega 3 and Omega 6 - vital for maintaining her KITTEN good looks and healthy skin and fur (she does look less grungy lately)
  • No grain, corn, wheat, filler, artificial flavors, colors or preservatives - important for the more mature kitty or any kitty who might have sensitivities or allergies
  • Made in the USA from sustainable sources
In terms of Sunshine, she looks and feels great after eating this food for just over a week now. Mommy feels good giving it to her as well because it is such a top quality FOOD! So if we were going to RATE Taste of the Wild Rocky Mountain Grain Free cat food, we would have to give it the

Thank you Chewy.com for this opportunity.

**We received from Chewy.com free of charge a case of 24 cans of Taste of the Wild Rocky Grain Free Mountain 3 oz cans for the sole purpose of tasting and reviewing the product. We were not instructed what to say nor were we paid for our opinions.

PAWty For Molly Catered By Chewy.com

Friday was Molly's BIRTHDAY (I thought it was Saturday but she said NO!) and it was a crazy busy day. Mommys worked all day, Aunt T and Cousin C took off for Tahoe for a week, Aunt B and Cousin E worked ALL day, and Lulu arrived for a week. That's a lot for ONE day. So we decided to celebrate Molly's birthday OVER the weekend after all of the weekday hullabaloo was over. I am glad we waited because on SATURDAY Molly received a GIFT box from Chewy.com. We are part of the Chewy.com FAMILY, you know. We are Influencers. Nonetheless, the gift package was a COMPLETE surprise.

OMIPUG!

Can you believe ALL OF THIS in one PACKAGE? Needless to say Molly was so surprised and Happy. That's a lot of toys for one little MALTESE mix, so she decided the ones on the left would be GRRRREAT for PAWTY favors!

Then Mommy MADE a cake especially for pups (thank you Target for carrying 3 Dog Bakery mixes) and the PAWty was all set.

We gathered around a table set especially for US -

LtoR Molly, Noodles, Moose, Lulu
What a GRRRRREAT spread, huh? And if you are wondering HOW Mommy#2, Aunt B and Cousin E managed to get 4 pups to sit for a photo shoot - aside from having 3 wranglers, the secret is

The right treats get the
best photos

The rest of the pups sang "Happy Birthday" to me, Lulu took the LEAD

Then it was time to cut the cake. I have to admit it was PURE CHAOS with 4 dogs jumping and begging for CAKE. Mommy eventually moved it inside so she could control everyone. Excuse the messed up floor - we are in the process of getting a new one.

Molly "blowing" out her candle. For safety reasons there are
6 kibble bits rather than 6 candles - and the candle was not lit

Canine chaos ensued when the BIRTHDAY GIRL
started chowing on the cake

YUMMMMMMM! Peanutty. That is some good cake.
It was a super PAWty and more so because Moose and Lulu were able to join us. Thanks Chewy.com for the PAWsome birthday packages (mine too on July 4)!! You really made the PAWty so much MORE fun.

Can Four Pups From Three Families GET ALONG?

She's HERE!!!! Lulu in da house folks! I am so happy to see her again. She is a super pup and a lot of fun (still has that puppy energy since she is 2 years and 3/4). Adding her to the household means that for THIS WEEK we have FOUR pups en casa. That is a lot of canine energy. And when the construction crew comes along, this big huge monster puppy named Baloo ALSO comes. He is the sweetest giant ever and next week I promise to get a photo of him. I MAY even interact with him. Who knows. I'm chill like that. My point is, there will then be FIVE pups en casa. This is getting fun.
You can't tell from this photo because it was taken a couple of days ago, but we are ALL getting along very very well. Moose has met Lulu before and got along with her. He apparently has a grrrrreat memory because he is super fine with her near him.

We still have SUNSHINE the CAT who you will not see in very many pictures this week. She chooses to HIDE when there is this much canine energy in the house. Plus, Lulu does not really understand kitties and BARKS up a storm when she sees Sunshine. Mind you, Sunshine is not scared AT ALL of Lulu. She just has no time for the shenanigans.

Jade the Bird is fine since the added pups mean nothing to a bird in a cage. Outta the cage would be a whole different story.

This weekend will be a hot one but Mommy is thinking perhaps an early morning excursion to the DOG PARK might help release some of the energy. We will see if that happens. It might.

Til then, PEACE OUT peeps 'n' pups (and Kit-tehs, birdies, etc).

End of Day Post is Better Than None

Have you ever seen such a perfect pout?

Somepuggy, who shall remain nameless (Mommy #2), decided she was TOO BUSY to help with my BLOG today. As if! Doesn't she know it is A-NUMBER ONE-MOST important thing on her daily PLATE? The world simply does not turn without a daily A Bowl of Noodles.

Am I Right?

So aside from THAT drama, life was a little more casual today at Casa de Noodles. The construction guys putting in the new floor and stuff did not come so Moose was not freaked out and Molly was not barking non-stop. Me? I'm chill. Gimme an ear skritch or two and I am golden.

So this is the view of Mommy's office today

Isn't that hilarious? We each have to be near the office and Mommy even though there are two OTHER beds on the other side of the room. And Mommy is oblivious because she is working away. So there you go.

Moose is chill now. He trots outside with us to do our bidness, tail wagging. We will see what happens tomorrow when THIS goes down

YES! Lulu is joining the menagerie for a week beginning tomorrow. This is gonna be FUN.

Could Be Wordless Wednesday IF I Could Be Wordless - this is NOT A REVIEW #Chewyinfluencer

I am so lucky. I have a lot of BLOGVILLE FURiends. I have a lot of Facebook and Twitter FURiends. I have even more REAL LIFE FURiends. AND, I am a Chewy.com FAN, Customer and Influencer and they are the BEST to me. They always deliver my goodies RIGHT AWAY and ON TIME. I love them

AND they make me feel SO LOVED back. I am a LUCKY PUGGY.

The other day Mr Fex Ex came by and dropped off a CHEWY.COM package. I was not expecting anything because ALL of my expected packages had arrived. BUT here is was, addressed to Mommy, like always -

So Mommy went HMMMMMM. . . and I went Hmmmmmm. . . WHAT could it be?

This is what it was - a Summer Time themed goodie box filled with Toy, Shades, a COOL BOWL and the most surprising of all - a hammock! We didn't immediately have anyplace to hang it so Cousin C held it up in the middle while the two ends were fastened to the stair rail and the hall tree. I am sooooooooooooo excited, though, because I cannot wait to try it. Maybe at the BEACH! Somehow? Well, I'm gonna work on that idea.

Isn't this the COOLEST????? I am so gonna play with that rope toy RIGHT NOW! Later Peeps and Pups.

#Chewyinfluencer Stella and Chewy 30 Day Challenge Post #2

WHOA!!!!

This is Stella and Chewy's Duck Duck Goose dinner patties. We have been eating it for almost 3 weeks now and as you can tell, it is doing AMAZING things for us.

Like for ONE - Molly has gotten A LOT bigger than me. Do you SEE it? She is almost the size of a Great Dane in this photo.

And LOOK at the size of those FEET!!

I knew it was making me

  1. More energetic although Mommy says this is hard to quantify in an already active PUG
  2. More beautiful with a soft, healthy looking coat of FUR
  3. More clear-eyed, meaning Mommy has been wiping less eye goop off my face lately
  4. More responsive because my EARS are cleaner and clearer without a lot of wiping
  5. More PUGTASTIC as if that were even possible

But GROWING a whole head taller? Humm. Something to explore. Pictures don't lie, do they?

I mean. . . LOOOK at HER!!! Chewy.com, has anyone ELSE reported this happening?

**We received free of charge from Chewy.com enough Stella and Chewy Duck Duck Goose to feed us for 30 days. We are not paid to review this product nor are we told what to write. All opinions on A Bowl of Noodles belong to ME and ME alone

No Middle of the Day Walks For a While

Yesterday was a lovely morning. There was a lot of sun and warmth BUT there was a cooling breeze as well. So Mommy decided she NEEDED a walk and we should JOIN her. So she gathered all 3 of us and put our harnesses and leashes on. Then she ventured out the door for a walk with 3 pups.

It was going pretty well - although MOMMY got a little short tempered with me because I was stopping every 3 feet to smell the - NOT ROSES. She said she could hardly get a stride going as I was stopping so often. So I stopped catching up on neighborhood peemail and walked.

It was going pretty well with Molly and Moose leading the way and me hanging back in Mommy's shadow. It was getting warmer and warmer as we walked and although Mommy had a BREEZE, it was NOT making its way to me.

We turned the corner and before I knew it, there was a SHADED spot. I BEE-LINED for it and plopped down. I was just too warm to continue. I had to COOL MA BELLY, in a word. So we stayed there until I was breathing a little more casually and less urgently. We were only two cul-de-sacs from home so I tried to make it the rest of the way. It was too hot and finally Mommy gave me a lift. I think I am destined for early morning or late evenings until the weather cools off in October.
