Making Like Tony Tiger . . . . . . . . . . #ChewyInfluencer

My FIERCE Face

This is Sunshine the Cat with another scintillating review for #ChewyInfluencer. It is always a fun time when a BOX from Chewy.com arrives at MY House. This month was no exception because I picked what I'd hoped was a fantastic food - Tiny Tiger Chunks in EXTRA Gravy Seafood Recipes Variety Pack Grain-Free Canned Cat Food, 3-oz, case of 24

I chose this food because it was out of my norm. My norm being chicken, of course. Not that I don't love seafood now and then. But I am a chicken kinda Cat and it suits me fine. But I decided why not throw caution to the wind?

The variety pack comes with THREE flavors: Tuna, Seafood, Salmon. I really am impressed with the packaging. The colors distinguish the flavors without forcing my OLD eyes to read the fine print. I appreciate that. Plus, the colors make meal time more fun. Every CAT needs a little color in her life, n'est ce pas?

By now, I have tried all three flavors. They look a lot like the photo below - small pieces in a wonderful gravy. It simply appeals to all of my senses. I like the TUNA the best and the SALMON the least. Honestly, I think Salmon is a little too rich for this old gal. The other two are nice, though. And as a rule, I feel a lot more invigorated after a meal of such good food as Tiny Tiger. It is such a stellar brand which really has very thought-out recipes.

Take for example, the TUNA recipe. The MAIN ingredients are Fish Broth, Tuna, Chicken, Liver, Meat By-Products, Potato Starch, Dried Egg Product;  and the SUPPORTING CAST consists of Natural Flavor, Guar Gum, Salt, Sodium Phosphate, Tricalcium Phosphate, Potassium Chloride, Vitamins (Thiamine Mononitrate, Vitamin E Supplement, Niacin Supplement, D-Calcium Pantothenate, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Riboflavin Supplement, Vitamin A Supplement, Biotin, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Folic Acid), Calcium Carbonate, Choline Chloride, Minerals (Ferrous Sulfate, Zinc Oxide, Copper Proteinate, Sodium Selenite, Manganese Sulfate, Potassium Iodide), Dl-Methionine, Taurine, Magnesium Sulfate, Fish Oil (Preserved With Mixed Tocopherols). That is a pretty good list of healthy organic ingredients.

What this means for me and any other cats who happen to try this FINE canned meal is
  • Grain free meal because CATS do not need grains
  • High quality animal protein which insures good muscle performance and maintenance
  • A healthy dose of amino acids, vitamins and minerals including taurine to balance out the diet
  • A tasty gravy which also provides extra hydration which is so important to older cats, like me
That, my FURiends, is the makings of a FINE cat food.

Would I recommend Tiny Tiger Chucks in Extra gravy seafood variety? Definitely.

Would I try it again on my own? Indeed I would. I would almost insist on it, in fact.

And would I give this canned cat food the highest award given from Casa de Noodles?

No. But only because I am SUNSHINE THE CAT and insist on having MY OWN award to give.

So here it is - the award for excellence in FELINE products - The Sunshine Award

**I received one case of product free of charge from Chewy.com for the purpose of trying the product and reviewing it. All opinions belong to A Bowl of Noodles and I am never paid for writing a review.

Valentine's Was Very Special

I hope you all had marvelous Valentine's days. I sure did. Mommy enrolled me in a SECRET Valentine Exchange for our FaceBook group. I was paired with ATTICUS who I have known FOREVER (online). I was so so so happy when my Valentine revealed himself to me.

I also was a secret Valentine for another FURiend of mine, Bobert Newheart from Colorado. It was so so so hard to pick just the right gift for him but I enjoyed pouring over the options and making a decision. At the end of the day, I chose a totally awesome t-shirt for Bobert and some socks for his HUmom.

My VALENTINE gift came in THREE shipments and Mommy made me WAIT until Valentine's Day to open them. It was so hard to do.

Eventually it was February 14 and I could FINALLY open the boxes.

Thank you Auntie Emily Corio and Atticus for the best Valentine gifts EVER. We loves loves loves the Lobster Treats the best.

I Listened and I Listened Well

Hey Noodles! Mommy said. I have something to tell you and you need to listen well.

Okay, I said while raising my LISTENING EAR.

What are you doing, Mommy said.

Well, like I said, I am LISTENING to you. I cocked my head to the right to express my seriousness.

Can you STOP that! Mommy said with a giggle in her voice. I need to have a serious talk with you.

But Mommy, I said with a glisten in my eye. You have MY COMPLETE attention.

Oh, I just CAN'T said Mommy as she walked away laughing.

Mommy? Mommy? I'm STILL listening. . .

Late Outta The Gate

It's Monday, what can I say. I am cold and tired from the weekend. I just want to lay in my NEST BED and dream. Well, the sun is peaking through right now so maybe I will go sniff around the yard some. We have some apples that fell off the OLD tree (not many and they never got very big). I keep finding them and snacking on them. They are tasty, I swear. But the weeds are so tall in the back that I GET LOST trying to find them. And I don't hear MOMMY yelling for me. And I get in trouble.

So MAYBE I will just stay here. . . in my NEST BED . . . and keep warm and dry . . . and dream. . .

It Happened AGAIN! How Lucky Can I GET?

Yes! Yes! Yes! This happened again!

There was the sound of a TRUCK stopping at our house. So we started barking and barking with an occasional meowing from Sunshine the Cat all to say STRANGERS BEWARE.

Then there was the WHOOSH! sound of something being put on the porch. So we barked some more and more. This was more of a Mommy come open the door QUICK!

Finally Mommy opened the door and I swear I heard a chorus of Angels singing Ahhhhhhhhhhh! And there it was, sitting on the porch bathed in morning sunlight. It looked amazing and so full of promise.

Open! Open! OPEN!!!!! We shouted.

It is still closed. BUT the PROMISE is still there. WAITING. Waiting. Waiting. . .

Safety in Numbers - My Sisters and ME

These are my sisters, Molly and Sunshine. We do not have the same mothers, neither biologically nor otherwise; but we are sisters in every other way. We share a house, beds, food (sorta) and yard. We share laughs, loves, and literally anything else you can think of.

And I like it that way.

How boring it would be if I were alone all the time?

I'd never have someone to grab toys from.

I'd never have someone to complain with when my bowl is empty.

And I'd never have someone to CUDDLE with on cold mornings.

And LOOK OUT whenever a stranger (or not so stranger) comes to the door. It is protective posturing times three! No bad guy is gonna stick around with THAT CACOPHONY!

So. . . I think I will hold on tight to my sisters; because having them makes LIFE that much more special.

Brrrrrr! It's So Cold

This is what I think of COLD weather. I do not like it. It makes me shiver. BUT what I do like about today is the lack of rain. Yes, there are threatening clouds here and there but NOTHING has come of it. Good. It is so cold I think the rain would turn to snowflakes DOWN HERE and I am not sure I would like that much.

But the hills near us (we live in the foothills) and the mountains on the other side of the valley. THEY all got more than dusted with snow. There was more than 2 FEET dropped on Mt Hamilton (no relation). Here are some photos of this very rare occurrence here in Silicon Valley CALIFORNIA!

Chicken Leg Friday

I've got a CHICKEN LEG
But I'm okay with it
It gets me WHERE I want to go
It helps me when I sit
Sometimes I tuck it UNDER me
Depends, on if it fits
There are occasions I let it AIR
Maybe just a little bit

You may laugh or shed a TINY tear
At the mere sight of it
But this CHICKEN LEG is all mine
And that is completely LIT
