Barkin' Foggy

Today the weather was a lot different than it has been. The FOG rolled over the coastal mountains and settled in our valley coating everything with a fine mist. The morning SUN was hidden behind the gray shroud and everything had this eerie glow to it. It was almost otherworldly. Even the sounds of Suburbia waking up were VASTLY different from just yesterday. Have you ever noticed how sound is amplified when it is foggy outside? I sure have. Molly sure has. It seems like every little sound is now a BIG sound and that leads to some pretty LOUD barking in Casa de Noodles.

This pic has absolutely no relation to what
I am writing about. I just wanted to show
off my awesome portrait.

Mommy has tried time outs and reprimands but nothing helps. WE can't help it because our sensitive EARS are not processing what they are hearing like before. We try, really we DO.

Here's the problem. Fog is our characteristic weather pattern for WINTER. We have more fog than rain until February. So with this much fog coming down the pike, what are we going to do about all of this barking? And how can we stop it when there are so many strange noises that are not normally there?

And my bigger question - will Sandy Paws consider barking under these circumstances BAD PUG behavior?

OK Noodles, here's our take, SANTA DON'T CARE, we have become the neighborhood watch puppers and Mom & Dad always say GOOD JOB, cause we are protecting stuffs. Here's the big one we are dogs and barking is what we do and how we communicate.

So have at it

Oh doggie, your pic is great!

We should switch homes till the clouds roll away! I LOVE cloudy, foggy, and rainy days, but the last two days here have been a little too warm for my liking. ;(
I'm sure Sandy Paws will understand your situation with the barking and all. :)

P.S: That drawing is too awesome! ^.^

Noodles that is some crazy fog you are having, I dont think Santa Paws will see this as being naughty becuse you are concerned and protecting your family by barking to warn them, plus seeing the creepy fog coming around the street sounds like something to bark about! I agree with Frankie and Ernie! "Then one Foggy Christmas eve santa came to say "Rudolph with your nose so bright wont you guide my sleigh tonight?" it is deffo talking about where you live! Love and Licks love your furiend Frank xxxxxxxx

I think you get credit for barking if it is foggy. Santa Paws is very understanding.

We actually had a TORNADO WARNING today, which was crazy, so I was doing some barking myself. I think it should be ok to bark at crazy weather, including dense fog. My dad got one of those D.A.P. things for me when we first moved to our apartment because apparently one of our neighbors thought I was barking too much. The D.A.P. was pretty nice, though I still try to bark whenever I see that neighbor (hee hee).

-Love,
Sid.
