Is that for ME???? |
The thing most of you may not know is I am on a pretty strict diet regimen. That is why I have such a slender profile and slim waist. I get 1/3 of a cup of food at 6am and 6pm. When I get treats they are usually something like a carrot, lettuce, broccoli, and so on. I am not allowed to be fed from the table - people food is a no-no - and if I beg at the table I am usually put in my room.
So there we were at Bellatrix's PAWty and we are not only allowed at the restaurant but also UNDER THE TABLES! OMD! This is gonna be TERRIBLE, I thought. I mean, to be so close to THEIR food and yet it will be so FAR away from our tummys!
Imagine my surprise when all of a sudden my Mommy #2's hand came down by my nose and OFFERS me a sweet potato fry!!!! Granted, only 1, but A SWEET POTATO FRY!!!! I no sooner gobbled that down when there was her hand again - this time with LETTUCE with a sliver of MAYO on it!!!! I think I was delirious by this time because these are treats I NEVER get at home.
I truly felt I had died and gone to PUGGY HEAVEN when the *Cotton Candy came and . . . need I say more?
* Cotton Candy is this incredible confection made by simultaneously melting and spinning sugar at a fast speed until thin threads shoot out. The threads are then "spun" around a stick, cone, hand, whatever.

That's why you're so darn slim! Mom's theory is that I get some treats, but then I have to run my ass off!! If I stop doing that, then the treats stop coming. Trust me, I'll run from here to Disneyland, as long as my treats don't stop!!!
I'm trying to figure out how I can get some of that cotton candy again...hmmmm maybe if we work as a group...all the pug pressure seems to work on them. It's like ORB power to the 1000th degree
I can see why you had that ice pack on your precious face...all that yummy food put you into a food coma! I'm so glad you got a few very tasty nibbles! That cotton candy looks delicious!
Love,
Payton
Bellatrix you ARE SO RIGHT!!!!! We DID all manage to get major treatage on Sunday! Hmmmmmm, I am forming a plan as we write. . .
My Mommy's theory, since my walks are short and scattered, is to cut back on main meals to allow treats (in a household of 6, she cannot always control who gives me a treat or what it is). Her idea of a treat is a carrot or lettuce, though.
Man, that's some excellent treatage you received! Your mom is pretty cool with the treats when you've stuck to your diet so well! Hoowee!
ooooh, that really sounds like dog heaven! you are very lucky! :)
my mom is very strict. like yours in the beginning of your story. :(

Sounds divine to me!
I wish I could have tasted all those things at the party. You look like you all had SO much fun!!!
It sounds like your mommies are very (mean) smart with their treat giving. It is important for us Pugs to keep our svelte figures. That cotton candy does look divine!

Well after all that dietin having a special treat now and then makes the treat Really Special!

Hi Noodle,
I feel your pain on the human food. I'm on the same regimen and have a wonderful figure like you. I'm a whopping 12.5 pounds. Except my treats are my dog food. Stupid allergies.
You are so lucky to have tasted some human food.
Hugs,
Suki
Glad to hear this wasn't just a dream! -Love, Sid.
Oh my word!! Sweet potatoe fries rock. Could mommy #2 come here?

Man, we've never had cotton candy! Sweet potatoes are old hat to us, but cotton candy! Our food is people food, made for us but that doesn't stop us from giving the hungry eyes when mom's eating. She sometimes gives us a bite from her plate, but she mostly eats healthy stuff, so whatever.
We have GOT to get some cotton candy though.
Oh Noodles, I am all for sweet potato fries but lettuce? I only like to chew on that and then spit it out leaving a slimy mess for Mom to pick up. You should try that next time, it is great fun.
Later!
Vito
