The Fart Queen

Rumor has it that I FART a lot. So I asked Mommy #2 why are THEY saying such things about me.
"Well, Noodles," Mommy said. "You are prone to gassiness. That's what PUGS do. But, let's see if we can find out why"

So in true Mommy fashion, she asked GOOGLE

Pages and pages and PAGES of Pug Fart things came up from the search. PAGES!!! I guess there really is such a thing. Hmmmmm! Who knew?

"Look here, Noodles," said Mom. "It says here there are many factors that lead to PUG FARTs - diet, speed pug eats (ahem), and sensitive digestion system.
But, I know diet is NOT one of your problems because we give you high quality food from Chewy.com specifically because cheaper foods make you belch and fart more!"

Turns out that the gassiness comes mostly from eating excessive fermentable foods like cauliflower, beans AND SOY!

SOY!!!! Note what's in your kibble, furiends. There just might be some SOY hidden somewhere as a filler.

So I told Mommy that I simply did not want to be known as the FART QUEEN of Casa de Noodles so we MUST do something about it.

As luck would have it, Ms. Sydney from Chewy.com, had a special favor to ask of us THAT COULD SOLVE the question of FARTING! She asked us to check out Purina's probiotic additive Forti Flora and we said SURE, why not.

It arrived on FRIDAY -

We will begin testing it on Oct 1, 2015 for 30 days. We will let you know how it is working as the trial goes along. If you want to check out this product for yourself, you can find it at Chewy.com or here, on the Purina Pro Plan website https://www.proplan.com/

MY GOAL???? To decrease the NUMBER of FARTS per day AND to lessen the POTENCY of the SMELL of my farts.

I am not being paid for my opinions about this product. Nor is anyone scripting my results. I have received the above product free of charge for the sole purpose of testing its usefulness, effectiveness, and overall quality.

You might be asking WHY PROBIOTICS? Is this anything like that POOP YOGURT Jamie Lee Curtis advertises?

Yes, it is - here's why (we lifted this from WEBmd.com)

Probiotics are live bacteria and yeasts that are good for your health, especially your digestive system. We usually think of bacteria as something that causes diseases. But your body is full of bacteria, both good and bad. Probiotics are often called "good" or "helpful" bacteria because they help keep your gut healthy.

Probiotics are naturally found in your body. You can also find them in some foods and supplements.

It's only been since about the mid-1990s that people have wanted to know more about probiotics and their health benefits. Doctors often suggest them to help with digestive problems. And because of their newfound fame, you can find them in everything from yogurt to chocolate.

I hope it work out for you. Barkley could clear a room until I got him a better quality food and started making him homemade "Frosty Paws" like treats out of yogurt and banana.

Good luck! A lot of LBR foster dogs use Fortiflora to help with their digestive issues, and they say it's a BIG help.

I'm always fascinated by what people search for on Google. You do know that your page will rank for "pug farts" now, right? Lucky you!

I look forward to reading your "fart chart" for October, Noodles! HEE HEE! I know sometimes changing food can help a bit. I lived with a Boston once that produced some seriously noxious odors - she could have used some of that FortiFlora stuff. I wish you luck with your experiment!

Sid.
