While the ROSE moon hovered 'neath the dawning morn
A HAPPINESS within my heart was born
The heat was rising as the SUN climbed high
Oh Finally! SUMMER was stopping by!
Please stay for a while you FICKLE season
Less than a WEEK would seem like treason
Let me roll upon the sweet WARM grass
And play in WATER smooth as glass
Much LATER when I've had my fill
Keep me WARM for longer still
For all too SOON the Fall wind blows
Making distant memory of your golden GLOWS

Noodles, you are so poetic. You made me feel joy for summer and sadness that it can't stay forever.
I'll be working on my tan while the sun is out.

That's a great summer poem! Our weather went from the 70s to the 100s in one day. We're hot now!
Beautiful poem with great imagery.

Such a great poem Noodles! And I have to say "great pugs think alike" since we both have posts of us in the grass!

That was just lovely Noodles! Can't wait for work to be over so we can take Sid to the park to enjoy the nice weather.
