Quit Buggin' Me

My Mommy #2 stayed home today. It seems the Lil One brought some sorta bug home - a STREP bug, to be exact.

I keep looking all around my bed and the floors to see if I can spot it. Must be pretty difficult to see because I have not found hide nor hair of said BUG (if indeed they even have hide or hair).

I do not know exactly what a STREP bug is but I sure hope it isn't anything like that FLEA bug that sometimes finds its way into our DOMAIN. I hate that one because then I have extra bathes with NOT NICE SMELLING soap and I have to get icky medicine poured on my beautiful furs. It is just not fun.

So I am hoping this STREP bug is not one of those kind of bugs.

On a brighter note, this is a 3 DAY WEEKEND for my Mommys. You know what that means! Lots of Mommy-time and walkies and snuggles. And did I say LOTS OF MOMMY-TIME?

Whatever you have planned, I hope it is a super fun weekend for you. And whatever you do, don't let ANYBUGGY mess with you.

Book It, Danno. . . .

My Mommy brought a book home last night. It was a baby book (and she is a teenager) but it is a book about a PUG so she HAD to get it. So as we snuggled on the sofa later that night (after dance class, dinner and homework), we read the book TOGETHER!

The book is called "It's Duffy Time" (reminds me of Tiffy from It's Tiffy Time blog) and it is about a pug.

The book takes the reader through a day in the life of Duffy, an adorable (of course) wrinkly faced pug and his human family. I like the naturalness of this book and the realness in Duffy's actions. What I like most, aside from the drawings of Duffy, was the TRUTHFULNESS of it. I am so much like Duffy that the book could have been called  It's Noodles Time.

The authors, Audrey and Don Wood clearly know what a pug is all about. The story is based on their beloved Duffy. Audrey Woods writes, "I settled on a pug because I like the pug attitude. They are very cuddly, they are funny, they don't mind dressing in costumes and they sleep a lot ." I think that kinda sums it up!

So if you have a chance, check out "It's Duffy Time." I am sure you will like it as much as I do.

In My Room. . .

Blog Hop at Blogpaws.com

Songwriters: WILSON, BRIAN DOUGLAS / USHER, GARY L.
There's a world where I can go
And tell my secrets to
In my room
In my room

In this world I lock out
All my worries and my fears
In my room
In my room

Do my dreaming and my scheming lie awake and pray
Do my crying and my sighing laugh at yesterday

Now it's dark and I'm alone
But I won't be afraid
In my room
In my room
In my room
In my room
In my room
In my room
In my room

You Said WHAT?

The other day I was wandering around the kitchen, minding my own BUSINESS, when suddenly I detected some food nearby. It was so delicious smelling that drool started forming in the corners of my jowls. Then it was running down my muzzle, threatening to drip all over my chin.

So I quickened my pace a little in an effort to find said FOOD. I rounded the island and VOILA! There is was - a bowl of mouth-watering kibble mixed with delicately flavored pumpkin and topped with a shaving of coconut oil (it was in the fridge because of the hot weather). I reared back on my hind legs, poised to make a MAD DASH for the dish.

Suddenly, out of the corner of my eye, I spy MOLLY tip-toeing toward the bowl. No! No! NO!!! She cannot get there before me! I increased my pace. . . I'm. . . .gonna. . . .  make. . . . it. . . .  .

"NOODLES STOP RIGHT NOW!"

Huh? Whosee. . . whatee???

"That is Molly's dinner! Get away from it now!"

I was THIS close, too.

Meeska, Mooska, Mouseketeers And Other Adventures

Oh My PUG! I have so much to tell you and not so much time to do so. It all started LAST Tuesday when Mommy packed her bags and MY bags. I thought perhaps we were all heading back up to Tahoe since it has been a couple of years since we last went there for vacation. But no. That was NOT to be our destination. Truth be told - we were not even going to the SAME place!

My Mommys, Aunties and Cousins were ABANDONING Molly and Me in favor of that BIG HUGE MOUSE - Mickey! Molly,  it turns out, was heading over to Auntie D's house for 5 days. She loves being with Auntie D (although as it happened, she barked and whined almost the whole time). But WHERE was I going? Can't go to Auntie B's anymore due to new hardwood floors. Can't go to other Aunties because they can't have dogs (but what about PUGS???) or allergic to my furs. So . . . .  Mommy packed me up in the car and drove me over the hill, past Auntie B's house and toward the Altamont windmills . . . . . and we stopped at . . .

Hi. I'm Tiffy and I will be
your camp counselor this
week.
TIFFY'S HOUSE!!!!!

That is right Peeps and Pugs. Read it and weep! I got to spend 5 magical days at Tiffy's house with her AWESOME Humom, Michele. I recognized the house right away when I smelled the door. Then I heard Tiffy bark at the doorbell ringing and I KNEW it was my pal. You should have seen the tail wagging (or in my case, the BUTT wagging). I am one lucky Puggy.

Not that I didn't SORTA play Tiffy's mom a bit. Like. . . waking her at 3 am in order to pee AND THEN attempting to convince her it was BREAKFAST time. No, she DID NOT fall for it at all. Then there was the second day OR as I like to call it -BARFAPALOOZA. That is right. I barfed. Not just tossing my cookies from eating too fast . . . no, I barfed up a long green smelly HAIR BALL that rivaled Sunshine the Cat's worst! Auntie Michele was a little worried never having encountered a PUG tossing a hairball. But my mommy RATTED on my predilection for licking rugs, fuzz, and blankets which would definitely cause a hairball. Since I acted pretty normal after said BARF action, Auntie Michele decided I was probably not really sick and she would just keep an eye on me to make sure there was no REPEAT incident.

Tiffy and ME played quite a bit which is not something I do a lot of. I guess because I am used to Molly's puppy exuberance, I am a bit more open to playing than I use to be. That Tiffy is some character, I tell you. And did you know . . . she eats FASTER than I do? Ha!!! I thought no one could beat my eat-speed. What that meant, though, was my land-sharking was temporarily halted until I returned home to Molly-picky-slow-eater. Hehheh. Watch out Molly!

The rest of my visit went without incident and I settled in quite nicely, thank you very much. I even allowed myself to perch on Tiffy's favorite chair back. We switched back and forth between us for who would be on the back and who be on the cushion. That Tiffy is a good sharer.

Know what happened the LAST DAY I was at Tiffy's place? We had an impromptu PUG PARTY! Yes! Noodle and Mochi, and Zoey and Phoebe AND their respective 'rents came over. Talk about FUN! Did I say we had F-U-N? I love those pugs!
I am smiling because my Mommys are back!

Next thing you know the door bell rings and everypuggy starts barking and running toward the door. Even me. That is, until the door opened and there were my Mommys. I turned tail and RAN back to the kitchen where I cowered. Mommy thought it was because I didn't want to LEAVE TIFFY's place. That was NOT TRUE. I was a little confused that it was not really them. So I ran. . . but then . . . I heard the one voice that can calm my biggest fears. . . Mommy #2!

And look what she brought Tiffy and Me -
Do we look good or what?

Thank you Auntie Michele and Tiffy for being the BEST hosts around and making a lonely PUG not so lonely at all!
Love You - MUAH!

Poop Happens

It just so happens that this is a subject near and dear to my HEART - poop. No. . . I am NOT a poop-eater. No. . . I do not roll around in poop or play with POOP or anything else other than POOP! But I am very sensitive to how people feel about poop and especially dog poop left in their yard. This is why every purse, backpack, totebag, leash and dog carrier in our house is outfitted with POOP BAGS - to pick up the poop. . . because POOP HAPPENS!!!

Pick up your OWN poop!
With this in mind, I am really proud to lend my support to the SCOOP THAT POOP Blog Hop being hosted by Sugar and Gizmo. This is in celebration of SCOOP THAT POOP DAY!

I think what people forget is that dogs cannot hide behind a door and do their BIDNESS. We do not have toilets that flush our waste away. We are burdened with the knowledge that what we DO is all out in the open for all to see.

Responsible DOG OWNERS are aware of this handicap and are RIGHT THERE to wisk away the poop so that our body waste does not offend anypuggy. My Mommys carry extra bags at all times to help out those humans who took their PUPS out for a quick walk only to have them, uh. .  . . poop.

So BLOGVILLE stop what you are doing and join paws across CYBERSPACE in support of SCOOP THAT POOP DAY.

We all do it. We all have to deal with it. We all HATE TO STEP in it.

Poop Happens - let's clean it up!

PSYCHEDELIC in the FURS

I think I am totally tripping, man! My head is, like spinning and I am all discombobulated! Really, if I wasn't on such a strict D-I-E-T, I'd swear someone slipped me some funny stuff.

But I digress. . .

Let me review the series of events. . . I like blew my cool because my OLD LADY (Mommy #2) has been completely negligent in her duties to ME; i.e. she has not taken any new pictures of me since MY BIRTHDAY PARTY. That was a MONTH ago. So I staged a PROTEST and enlisted the help of all my FURIENDS here in Blogville. The turn-out was epic, man.

Yesterday we had a SIT-IN. It was like . . . groovin' if you know what I mean.

I think IT WORKED - this sit-in thingy - I definitely think worked! Raise your PROUD PAWS because we worked together and took back the streets, MAN (or something like that).

What makes me think the SIT-IN worked? Last night I happened by the charging counter and I saw IT. . .

Hey! That is the camera!!! She is really doing it!!! She is finally
charging the camera to take more pictures of ME! ME! ME!

It just goes to show you that we can all affect change if we band together. Hopefully there will be new photos of me real soon.

Peace, Furiends

Reminds Me of the Sixties (as if I were there)

I want to PUGsonally thank each and everyone of you who are joining me on this SIT-IN (or lay-in, whatever the case may be). It is of the utmost importance that we make ourselves HEARD! This abuse must end! We need more NEW PIX and we need them now!

I was sitting around my pad last night - just sharing the vibe, you know. It was, like, totally enlightening. Anyhow, I addressed the issue with my OLD LADY (uh, Mommy #2) and she told me to CHILL and just let LIFE take me where it will. It is all about becoming ONE with the WORLD.

I had no idea what she was talking about and I told her again that the lack of new photos of YOURS TRULY was reaching unacceptable levels and I expected a resolution soon.

She lit some candles, lowered the lights and started chanting: "Charge the Camera. . . Charge the Camera. . . Charge the Camera. . ."

I think she is a little misguided about the method, but overall, she may be on to something.

Notice Something Missing?

I don't know if you have noticed, but there is definitely something not RIGHT going on around here. What am I talking about, you ask? Well, there seems to be a severe lack of NEW PICTURES of me. As you may imagine, that is totally and unequivocally UNACCEPTABLE to me.

In the past week there have been pictures taken FROM MY BIRTHDAY in July. There have been pics from TWO to THREE weeks ago!!!! I really think I should follow BART's (Bay Area Rapid Transit) example and GO ON STRIKE until my demands are met.

Let's see . . . .

DEMAND #1: new pictures of the Princess Pug will be taken on a DAILY basis
DEMAND #2: In lieu of new pictures, extra TREATS will be provided to said Princess Pug
DEMAND #3: Well, there isn't really any more to say, is there?

Back to Work Day

My Mommys went back to work today
No more cuddles, no more play
I wish that I could go with them
To sleep beside their desks again
Or roll up in a little ball
A little way down the hall
Instead I have to wait alone
'Til it is dark and they come home

Fun Cuz It's Friday

Dancin' For a Treat . . .

(to the tune of Billy Idol's Dancin' With Myself)

Dancin' for a tree-eat
oh oh oh
Dancin' for a tree-eat
Oh there's nothing to lose
And plenty to choose
So, I'm dancin' for a tree-eat
