I decided WHY NOT climb aboard the TREAT train and lend my humble opinion to the 'net. I will generally do ANYTHING for treats. . . anything.
After a lot of thinking and researching and thinking some more, My Mommys and I decided to try
Fromm Four-Star Nutritionals Low Fat Liver Recipe Dog Treats
This is why:
- They are made from FRESH chicken livers and a little garlic. That says to me that they are tasty but also healthy, too. Despite the fact I will eat nearly ANYTHING, My Mommys are very careful about what they feed to me.
- Each treat is only 1 calorie. That means I could "conceivably" eat a whole bag with minimal damage to my perfect PUG figure.
- USDA Inspected
- USA made
Okay, good start. Mommy #2 was also curious about the company - what kind of ethics do they practice, and so on? She found out Fromm Family Foods is
- Family owned and Family operated for over 100 years. Pets health and well being is their main focus
- All products produced at Fromm Family Foods are tested for the presence of bacteria before they are released to the public
- Fromm Family foods contain NO Ethoxyquin or other chemical preservatives. They use natural anti-oxidants
- Fromm Family Food practice no unethical testing on animals
All in all a good reason to try their products. True to form, Mr. Chewy delivered the product quickly and efficiently to our door. I have to admit, I was salivating as Mommy opened the box and pulled out the treats. I couldn't WAIT to try them. She made me wait, though, until she took some pictures of me with the product.
Then the experimentation began. She gave one to me and one to PICKY MOLLY. We ate them, they were kinda yummy. Then she made us sit for a treat and we did. It was still yummy. Then she started making us do TRICKS for a treat. That was when we BOTH walked away. The treats were yummy but not TRICK-WORTHY. So they aren't mouthwatering-I-will-do-anything-for these kinda treats. Why are they not ALL THAT? My guess is the low-fat formula. But, sheesh! I don't know! I'm just a PUG.
I don't want to SIT by the treats, I want to EAT the treats! |

Hey! This is kinda yummy. |
I think, and this is just a theory, that I need to try more and more and MORE of the FROMM FAMILY treats before I make a full decision regarding the product.
You know. . . to be FAIR.
Thank you Mr. Chewy for giving us this opportunity to taste test this product for you. I plan to serve them to my BIRTHDAY PARTY guests this weekend and then we will know for sure how they rate.
Fromm Family Foods is a company I can get behind. I like their mission and I like their ethics.

ummm my mom has also brought home treats that were not trickworthy...trickworthy in my mind is apples and green beans, but I do like Mr. Chewy just not as much as those things.

We are going to ask for Mr. Chewies when our birfdays come along. And we are sorry, sorry that the happy thoughts are gone. They were sometimes the high point of our day. We think you should collect them in a book.
Love,
Daisy and Scooter Pugman
I can understand your excitement about the arrival of a box from Mr. Chewy. I have almost taken down a UPS man because I was so excited to open the last one I got! I've seen those treats before but never tried them. I might have to!

Sid.

If the treats are good, it even tastes better when it's free... so you have ultimate treat.
