#chewyinfluencer Finally the end of the Thirty Day Challenge and I Gotta Say

IT WAS A WILD SUCCESS!!!

We loved, loved, LOVED the Nutro Wild Frontier Rolling Meadows Recipe! I know, I know. You are thinking "But Noodles, you like EVERY food." And while that is certainly true, I do have DEGREES of liking-ness. Molly is picky, too, so she is a good meter for assessing foodable liking-ness.

Here's the thing - we BOTH loved this food. We BEGGED at dinner time - uh, more than usual, that is. We JUMPED when Mommy took too long to lay-that-food-down. We both GOBBLED every morsel down in record time then proceeded to lick our chops and our bowls for the next TEN MINUTES. Really!

If I was to theorize - and you KNOW I love to do so - I would say the main attraction of Nutro Wild Frontier Rolling Meadows Recipe is the FLAVOR. And that is flavor that can only really be achieved by using REAL and FRESH ingredients. One simply CANNOT imitate the rich, intense flavor of real food. To refresh your memories, here are the ingredients for this particular recipe:

  • Lamb
  • Chicken Meal
  • Chickpeas
  • Peas
  • Lamb Meal
  • Chicken Fat (Preserved with Mixed Tocopherols)
  • Dried Potatoes
  • Dehydrated Alfalfa Mea
  •  Potato Protein
  • Sunflower Oil (Preserved with Mixed Tocopherols)
  • Natural Flavor
  • Flaxseed
  • and naturally occurring vitamins, minerals, and preservatives

Nothing wrong with that list of GOODNESS. Flavor - for us pups, it is all  about the flavor.

Moms, however, have a different spin on things. My Mommy said she wanted to see how the food affected out coats, eyes, joints, poop, and so on. Overall, the report card is pretty good. It averages out to about an A-/B+ when everything is taken into consideration. She said some of the other foods we have tried this year actually did a better job in terms of overall health. Our coats are soft but not as shiny (neither of us have very shiny coats anyhow) as before. We have plenty of energy and do not seem at all sluggish which is very good for small low-energy pets. BUT - and this is a big BUTT for Mommy (there is a pun there) - our (my) fartiness and belchiness has increased dramatically. This is NOT a pleasant side effect for those around us (I don't notice anything bad). She thinks it is most likely due to the coincidence of APPLE SEASON arriving at the same time as the food. But she just is not sure so she wanted to put it OUT THERE. In any case, there are those two negative BUT that is all. There is also the issue of Pug Eye (also called eye snot) and Stink Butt (anal glands not expressing fully) which Mommy noticed ticked up a bit from the beginning of the month. It might again be coincidence and one month - one food makes it hard to determine the cause.

Would she recommend this food? Yes, she would to those in the market for High Quality at a lower price. But is is not equal in quality to the higher priced foods, she cautions. Our health is not suffering at all - in fact we are doing pretty good and eating food for which we jump for joy when she opens the bag.

We, the PUG and the MALTI, think a little more highly of Nutro Wild Frontier Rolling Meadow Recipe and we give it

We want to thank Chewy.com for giving us this opportunity to TRY and REVIEW Nutro Wild Frontier. Of course, you know, we are never paid to write these reviews and we never never let anyone or any company put words in our mouths. All opinions and observations belong to US - Noodles and Molly.
