My FIRST Hotel Stay

For the Fourth of July AND my Birthday, the whole family packed into a small car and headed to Sacramento. There we visited with FRIENDS and met some new FURiends. It was fun. We stayed at a La Quinta in their area.
It was my first time in a hotel. I had a lot of fun with all the smells in that place (although to Mommy it was not smelly at all (which she said is a good thing). They had a nice area to do our bidness and we got two long walks each day so we wouldn't be too restless in the room. And the beds were so comfortable. I could sleep ALL DAY on them.
As you can see from the picture above, we had a room with a view. . . a view of the road but it was at some distance. There were some nice trees in front that blocked the less pretty stuff.

This chair was so comfy and I spent a good chunk of the morning lounging here and watching tv.

Mommy #2 went to the store for something and this is where I sat until she came back. I missed her for the whole 30 minutes she was gone

We only stayed overnight this time. But it was such a positive experience that we will definitely do it again.
Thank you La Quinta for being a great place for PUPS and PEEPS to stay.

Mum has not taken me travelling, but she has promised that when we finally get the settlement for her eye injury and she gets our wheelchair accessible van, we are gonna do LOTS of travelling. She has said that the kittehs will stay home and I will go with her. I hope I have as much fun as you did!!!

We once had to move across four states with our cat, Nickie... we found the pet-friendly motels to be so good for our stays... and would do it again if we needed to! I'm glad you had a good time.

I stayed in a hotel once, but when mom had to go to the store at 4:00 am, she took me with her figuring I would make a ruckus. She was right. I ate the cookies I found in the car while she was inside. lol

Glad you had fun!

That is something we have never got to do yet, Maggie does the same thing when dad runs to the gas station to get junk to eat, she waits and waits....stella rose

Hotels like La Quinta that cater for pets are becoming increasingly common. I think they recognise that pet owners love to travel, but can't leave their beloved four-legged friends behind. Comfy beds, comfy chairs and rooms with a view are all essential for a good hotel experience and I'm so glad that doggy's first visit to a hotel was so positive.

Dog friendly hotels are the best. I stayed in quite a few when my husband and I did a road trip through New England last year. Also, that picture of him waiting by the door for mommy to come back is too funny! I’m glad you had such a good time on vacation.

Thank you for sharing your pet friendly experience in the hotel. Not often do you find hotels that cater to fury friends that well. 2 long walks must also have been great. Having a room with a view also adds to the experience. Whenever I am in Sacramento next I will definitely look them up, all the best!
