Tongue-tied Tuesday

There I was again last night with my TONGUE getting me into trouble. I don't know WHY I am so obsessed with LICKING! Yesterday I was particularly channeling my inner Licky Lou and was caught licking the FLOOR . . . licking Mommy's PANT LEG, licking the CABINET in the kitchen, licking my NOSE and licking the GLASS DOORS! I was constantly licking. Then when I couldn't lick SOMETHING, I licked the air.

I wanted to stop - I seriously tried to stop - but I COULDN'T STOP LICKING.
Mommy thought a walk would do the trick. HA! Fooled her!

Is there something short of TYING my tongue that might help?

I am open for suggestions because, frankly, I am tired of hearing

"Licky Lou NO NO!!!!" and "BAD Licky Lou."

What's a PUG to do?

Noodles, if you find the secret to cease your obsessive licking, please let me know.
Not for me of course, but for my pal and foster brother Gizmo. he licks, and licks and licks and it drives my humans around the bend.
Licks (but only one or two)

I used to lick my mom's pillow all the time, and the carpet, and my bed, and my front paws. You get the idea. But for some unknown reason, I don't do it much at all any more. My parents haven't done anything different so sorry we can't help.

This is just a suggestion, there could be something on your tongue or roof of your mouth that is bothering you? If there is you should tell someone!

Oh dear Noodles, I have no suggestions for how to help. I also didn't mean to giggle at your description, but I couldn't help a little one :)

It's totally a "pug thing"-mine likes to pin me down & play a rousing game of Licky Lou all over my face, then beg for a belly rub. BOL!

Oh dear, my sis Kitty licks too. Especially her paws. It is pretty excessive. Mom gives her a time limit to get it out of her system and then makes her stop. Must be the smelly goodness on things.
