Beachin'

Guess what????? When we went for a walk yesterday afternoon, we stopped by the BEACH! I have never been to the beach. And we went down to the water - LAKE TAHOE water, that is. Okay, okay. I admit I was a little scared at first <as you can tell by the picture above>. But after I trusted the water, I dove right in and got splashed by water all the way to my face. Then I got mad. I barked and barked at the water. I have to say, I was surprised that my HUMAN sunk her feet in the sand where the water was flowing. She sorta yelled when the water splashed her all the way to her shirt.

I took a break and decided to explore - um, EAT - the sand. It tasted good but I started coughing and coughing when it got stuck in my throat. MORE LAKE WATER, PLEASE!

So we left and started walking back to the cabin. When we turned onto our road, a person driving a white car pulled up next to us to take a look at ME! She said she had a black pug (I don't know if it was at Tahoe or not because I have yet to meet another PUG here). Then she said, "Oh my God, that is the CUTEST pug ever! I just HAD to stop!"
My Mommys thanked her and said they thought so too.
I'm glad I have such amazing humans that they bring me to LAKE TAHOE.

Anyways, we got home and I went straight to the bath to get rid of all the sand and dirt I picked up on the walk. We tried something new - As Seen on TV Uncle Norman's Pet Sponge - because I did a dreadful job packing and forgot shampoo. I was squeaky clean afterward and once again my lovely FAWN color rather than a dingy tan and DIRT.

I always wondered why dogs barked at the water but now I know they are just angry about getting splashed in the face! Loved all of the pictures! Loved that someone stopped to see your pup's adorable face!
