The hardest thing for me to do is relax. I have my daily routines and doggone it, I LIKE 'em. But today was not like any other day. It started off like normal - but rather than wander around the cabin or take many walks, I decided it was in my best interest to try this thing called relaxation. We (Mommy #2 and yours truly) decided to try sitting out on the deck doing nothing - much. It took a lot of trial and error, but I discovered that a soft cushion and warm, pine-smelling mountain air is better than . . . warm milk . . . a sleeping pill . . . or a nice, luxurious petting session. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz! Before I knew it, I was sawing logs big time.
Then the phone rang and my two humans hustled me inside and into my crate. They took off on bikes! When they came back, they brought a BIG surprise - WE HAD HOUSE (ur, cabin?) GUESTS!
My auntie R and cousin B arrived today. They are not really related but are my mommys' goodest friends. They are staying a couple of days, YAY!!
After they rested some, we showed them around a little. As you all know, I loves, loves, loves going on walks so I really liked this part. Then we lounged some more before deciding to go to the beach. I really like the feel of the sand squishing through my toes so this made me happy. And I was looking forward to some more yummy LAKE TAHOE water, too.
It was a warm and relaxing afternoon at the beach. I tried my paws at swimming. I am amazingly good at it. I shook . . . and shook trying to get all of the nice water out of my fur. A few stern words and looks and I realized standing next to the umbrella and mommy's chair and shaking was probably not the best decision. So I lay on the warm sand for a while, just soaking in the relaxing rays.
Ah! I think I can get used to this relaxation thingy.

I never know I was a beach dog till the family took us to Michigan. Once we got to the beach I sniffed, and sniffed, and took of like a shot! I ran up, I ran down! I loved the feeling of the wind whipping through my ears! the Foo was totally unimpressed with the beach. Then, we both had to take a nap.
