Sending Some Warm and Sunshiney Days EAST

Is that KID over there eating a HOTDOG????

This picture was taken on New Years Day. I know, the leaves all over the place make it look like FALL; but it's not. Even the trees are a little confused by our Winter, so far. We had some wickedly cold days toward the end of FALL - and for you out there scoffing at this Cali Gurl saying it was cold - we are talking massive freeze throughout the Bay Area and predictions of snow on the valley floor. The snow didn't come but more than a week of 25-30 degree weather was tough on us.

We live in a very moderate climate. Temperatures in the Winter hover around 60 degrees and rain is infrequent. Just enough to make the hills green all Spring. In the summer, the average temperature is mid 80s and precipitation is low. There are years where this formula is shaken up a little - but this is nonetheless the norm.

So on New Years Day, Me, Mommy #2, Molly and her humans went to the park for a walk. It was warm - shirt sleeve warm, as Mommy calls it. Yet it was cool enough that I was not panting like crazy and making people stare at Mommy like she is a PUG abuser! In a word - PERFECT.

So as a New Year's present to all of my fans in Blogville who are shivering under the blanket of Artic Air right now, I am sending you some of our C-A-L-I-F-O-R-N-I-A warmth to help you get through it. I hope it warms you right up because you are that special to me.

Howdy Noodles, it looks lovely in your neck of the woods. Over here in Oz it's summer but we've had some cool weather for this time of the year. Take care. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

Texas has weird weather too. It'll be shirt-sleeves warm, then 13 degrees the next day. We've given up trying to predict!

Thank you so much Noodles! Your warm air really helped. It's SO MUCH WARMER today in Chicago than it was earlier in the week. I'm so glad I can actually go outside without fear that my pee will freeze mid-stream. :)

Sid.
