Gimme a Kiss

So it was my BIRTHDAY and I was pretty sure everything was ABOUT and FOR me. I still don't think I AM wrong to think so.
But then this INCIDENT happened and I am a little INCENSED because NOT everything SEEMED to be FOR me after all!
Let me explain - something happened to be dropped onto MY DOMAIN, i.e. THE KITCHEN FLOOR. It smelled good, it looked good (a little like poop) and it WAS DROPPED MY WAY.

So, I grabbed it, ran away to a more private location (the whole family was in the kitchen at the time) and chowed down.
Next thing I know My Mommys are running for me and Yelling NO! NO! NO! Then they got a little frantic and had worried expressions on their faces - I knew not why and, frankly, I CARED NOT why. Cuz that little morsel was Dang GOOD!

It seems that Little One had been eating some Hershey Kisses and  dropped a kiss on the floor. In true 5 year old fashion, she stood there and said OOPS but made no move to pick up the DREADED CHOCOLATE!  I took immediate action and the rest is history.
My Mommy's immediately took their worried expressions to the computer where they asked Mr. GOOGLE about the effects of eating chocolate on a lil PUGGIE like me. Turns out - not much. A bag of kisses would have been cause for concern.BUT one KISS in a 15 pound pup like me - nothing to worry about.

Turns out there was a lot of FREAKIN' for NOTHING but that's okay.

It means My Mommys love me very very much and I can TOTALLY get behind that!

You sound like Jeep! He ate a Sudafed and spent the whole day in the hospital. He's tried twice to choke himself on a piece of chicken jerky he stole from his sister.

You have to be careful what you chow down!!

But those kisses taste so good, huh?

Chocolate always smells so good. It's too bad us pugs can't eat it. Tell your mommys to get you some Carob chips instead! Glad you are ok, Noodles!

Hi Noodles,

I never had a Hershey Kisses but I unzipped my mommy's bag and ate a chocolate in a gold color bag.
Got a good yelling about it and she watch me like a hawk all night and when nothing happened to me the next day, I got another yelling about it being expensive and blah blah blah.

Mmmm...kisses! Riley took one of my prescription pills when she was 3 months old (so about 15 lbs) and I rushed her to the emergency vet! Turns out I spent over $100 for nothing...the pill had no ill effects on her.

We're glad you're okay and that your Mommies didn't rush you off to the V-E-T!! :)

Better for momma to freak and be safe, then not freak and be sorry!! I know exactly how she feels!! I've freaked on more than one occasion!!! =) It's just because we love you so much!!

Not to be gross, but watch for a gurgling tummy. Sometimes chocolate can leave a "present" behind-(literally) in the form of an upset tummy. At the very least, I hope you get to do some damages with some PSB's. hehe

Whoo hoo! All that fuss but you still got to enjoy the chocolate! Good thing it was just one kissy!

OK, Noodles, so let me get this straight. You weigh 15 pounds and it was ok for you to eat one Hershey Kiss. I weigh around 21 pounds - so how many kisses do I get to eat?!

Love, Sid.

PS You look super cute in your little summer outfit!

Oh Noodles, you got a tiny taste of the ever coveted chocolate. That stuff smells so good! Only bacon, and maybe liver treats smell better, don't ya think?

The dilemma of chocolate. Smells so good, but not good for us. We don't have any of those little people to drop stuff for us unfortunately.

Our cousins Noodle and David tag team to eat pilfered Kisses. Noodle unwraps the Kiss very carefully. Smart enough to not eat the foil! Our aunt learned not to keep any in the house.

BOL! Our verification word is retchr! Hope you don't retchr all over the house!

We have had similar incidents around here. My sister drops a tiny piece of chocolate or even a chocolate wrapper, I pick it up and my mom goes CRAZY!

My Mum says she is glads you is ok and that it was only 1 and not a whole bag. I say you can send that 5 yr old over to my house with some chocolate kisses? BOL

Haha oh lordy. Sounds like the time i (kel-z) put an UNOPENED bag of CHOCOLATE COVERED RAISINS on the floor in my room not totally worried some1 would get into it or anything....well i left my room for like 2 minutes tops n i walked back in and it was shredded open and every last morsel was GONE!! i had my suspecions (either Coco or Kirby)and there was a mild freak out by my 'rents (i was peeved my fave sweets were gone!) but all was good....then a couple years l8r i got an email saying that grapes and raisins can kill dogs....well.....i guess wat doesn't kill them only makes them stronger...or fatter lol they are all still rocking it!!!

Noodles,

Lincoln ate a box of chocolate covered donuts and survived. Supposedly its the dark chocolate that's really bad. Stay away from that. And it was your birthday after all :)
