I didn't really know Stubby. I just knew OF him through Puglet's blog. He made me smile - a lot. I followed his adventures with a smile on my face and a warm tug in my heart. He was a good guy and we will miss him so much.

Bacon Bits
A lot is written about friendship and how to be a good friend. My Mommy #1 is dealing with a lot of friend drama this year (middle school) and I have been trying my best to let her know I have her back. But it got me thinking about what goes into being a BFF. I did some online research and I came across this anonymous quote that really sums up the whole FRIEND experience for me -
"Friends are the bacon bits in the salad bowl of life."

It had me at the word BACON!

Not a Cookie, COOKIE!
With all this talk over the holidays about homemade puppy cookies I was always on the lookout for some lovin' from the oven for ME. I saw these lovelies sitting on the table and got so excited I had to excuse myself to the yard for a while. They were so beautiful! They smelled so divine! I had to have one.
So I did something I NEVER do - I jumped up on a kitchen chair . . . just to get a closer look mind you. The aroma was OVERWHELMING!
Then, just as I was about to indulge in the sweetest thing in all pupdom, I heard the words "NOODLES! Don't you DARE touch those cookies! Those are NOT for you!"
Thanks Puglet for the recipe my humans DID NOT make for me -

Get your PARTEEEEE On!
I like to party. And never has this been tested more than the end of 2010.
This past month has been one party after another and it isn't stopping yet. First there was Thanksgiving (one 5 day party with Auntie B, if you ask me); then there was Christmas Eve, Christmas, Day After Christmas, and C's B'day (she's 5 now, ya know); then New Year's Eve, New Year's Day and coming up this weekend . . . . Auntie T's birthday. . . then E's birthday . . . then . . .
I'm gonna be wearing this hat A LOT this month!
What do I like most about parties - other than the frequent TREAT sneaks?????
Well, aside from the chance to meet new people and become their friend?
Did I mention the frequent TREATS?

Catnip Controversy
We animals in the household fared VERY well at Christmas. Not only did we get treats galore, but we also scored some pretty nifty toys. I got a loofa dog AND a squeaky toy, for example. Sunshine the Cat received some CATNIP toys and a bell or two. By the end of Christmas Day, though, Sunshine the Cat had lost ALL of her toys. Really, they were gone.
Let it be known here and now, I had NOTHING to do with the disappearance of those toys.
I realize in the past, when I was but a puppy, I frequently raided Sunshine the Cat's toy box and took out her catnip toys. I was young and impressionable.
But I am more mature now and I understand the sanctity of ones toys.
And I HONESTLY don't know HOW that little sock of catnip got into my bed.
