This is me on my Mommy #2's lap. Those are her FAVORITE jammies. I love to snuggle on Mommy's lap when she is wearing them because they are so soft and warm.
Today starts the longest weekend of the YEAR for me. This is SHOW WEEKEND and I won't see much of either of my Mommys for the next 3 days. THREE WHOLE DAYS.
I cuddle SO HARD when Mommy DOES get home (Mommy #1 is still at her college campus) because I know my time with her is so limited.

Just so you know, I totally run the roost in this household. I do what I want and go where I want and . . .
Oh, sorry Mommy. I'll get RIGHT DOWN from the couch.

I am not one to show my pretty pink tongue. I don't know why. I don't bare my teeth either. Just a ME thing. But once in a while the humans will get a glimpse of it in all its glory. And when they do - they always have to take a PICTURE.
What is it with these humans and their photography? They are always taking the silliest photos. And with the advent of the smartphone - well, it is nearly intolerable.
Then again, I do enjoy seeing a good photo of me now and then.
This is NOT one of them.

Happy Veterans Day!!!
When Mommy first wrote this BLOG POST, she put V-E-T. It made me QUAKE in my little bunny slippers! I like my dogter and all - but that doesn't mean I like VISITING him all the time. And last month I was there a few times. SOOOOO. I was worried that when Mommy said we were celebrating VETS, well I assumed. . .
I am happy that I was wrong (something I seldom admit to). Instead this is the day we celebrate VETERANS of the armed services. Those are the humans who work so hard to keep us safe from foreign invaders and usurpers and what have you. I am not really clear what it is all about; but I am glad they are doing it. I love being SAFE.
Also, this is the beginning of SHOW WEEK for Mommys 1&2. Neither of them is dancing anymore, but they still volunteer to help out the dance studio owned by Auntie D. So every year they are missing from home ALL DAY and most of the NIGHT in order to put on the best show ever. I know it is because I have seen it.
I will miss them BUT I know they are doing something they love. You know how those THEATER folk are. They are so drawn to the stage.

Today, November 1, marks the end of Breast Cancer Awareness month. But guess what. The FIGHT still continues and I was to remind everypuggy that Breast Cancer is not a one month thing. We should think about it every day and fight against it and FOR MORE research and recovery every single day.

SO, as you now know, Mommy's last two weeks have been anything but normal. She was so busy and then the new job started. AnyHOWWWWWW, my Halloween Costume idea went by the wayside.
To make matters WORSE, I got sick on Halloween Morning - I was all sulky and my tail was down and I was TREMBLING. I was hurting. Mommy checked my limbs for injury and felt for fever. Luckily none of those things were conclusive. So she gave me an antacid and went to work. She planned to call the DOGTER when she got to her office. She also talked to her SUPERVISOR about leaving early to take me there. The supervisor said sure. Mommy left early in the afternoon.
Mommy RUSHED home as fast as the traffic would allow. When she opened the door I bounded up to her like normal. I was telling her the ANTACID worked and I felt perfectly NORMAL and did not HAVE TO go see the dogter.
Nice try, Mommy said and took me anyhow. The DOGTER gave me a once over and declared me FIT AS A FIDDLE and sent me on my way. Told you, Mommy.
When Mommy got home she rushed around the house making things ready for Trick or Treaters and making dinner for the HUMANS in the house. It was nearly TnT time when she remembered I needed a COSTUME if I was going to greet guests at the door.
This - my very first Halloween Costume (That's a Bowl of Noodles) was what she choose. It still fit. The only difference is I STILL WORE MY HALLOWEEN POWER PAWS.
So, that was a little disappointing. But I did totally ROCK the costume and made it my own.

This is a puzzling photo, don't you think? It sorta looks a little like the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, right?
Kind of. . .
But this is what was REALLY happening - and don't be fooled. Sunshine was just pretending to be all asleep and innocent. In truth, she has some insidious plans up her FURS.

I am missing almost my whole middle girth
All those wrinkles - I thought I was melting out
of my body!
So I said MOMMY! Please - is the world getting FLATTER or is it me. She giggled a little which totally unsettled me. She has a sadistic giggle, I think. It's not a light-hearted trill like a "hee-hee-hee" but more of a sneery "heh-heh-heh" which always sets me on edge. What did she MEAN by it?
So Mommy suggested taking a couple of photos to prove it was ME and NOT the WORLD that was flat. She said I was really really flat, too. I mean, look at that first photo. Have you ever seen a PUG so FLAT?
Mommy asks you to ignore her socked feet
and to say no, her legs are not that large. She
is so vane.
It turns out I was SO ASLEEP that I oozed down into Mommy's legs, separating them some and making it LOOK like I was flat. I was so comfortable and so happy to be spending quality time with one of two MAIN MOMMYS in my life. I calmed down about the WORLD a but after that. At least there was a simple explanation. For some other things - not so much.

I am gonna be very very honest with you all about my MIA last week. It is all very appropriate to explain and I just want my AUDIENCE to know I did NOT abandon you.
The truth is - My Mommy #2 ABANDONED me last week and apparently over the next couple of months, for sure, she will KEEP ON abandoning me. Harrrrumph, I say!
What happened is she got a THIRD job. That's right. She still has the work from home job but there is not much going on there - not even much income. And she still has the night job at the tkd studio - but that too is just supplemental income, not really a living wage. So she had to do something and fast.
She applied for and got a temp COUNTY job and it is 8-5 M through F! She leaves the house at 7:15 and does not return until 8:30 every night. And then she is soooooo tired. So the good news is
I GET A COUPLE OF HOURS OF SOLID CUDDLE TIME. Then it is bed time and we start all over again.
It has been a difficult adjustment for us all but I think we can do it. We really don't have much choice.
I have been keeping a journal of what I do ALL DAY so Mommy and I have something we can talk to you in the post every day. Mommy is going to write them all in one day (Sunday) and schedule them. Here's hoping the scheduling works. It is IMPORTANT that I speak to you all on a daily basis,
LIKE I PROMISED when I first joined Blogville.
I hope you all understand and I hope to see you here - IN MY BLOG WORLD. I loves loves loves you all so much.
