HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!
SO, as you now know, Mommy's last two weeks have been anything but normal. She was so busy and then the new job started. AnyHOWWWWWW, my Halloween Costume idea went by the wayside.
To make matters WORSE, I got sick on Halloween Morning - I was all sulky and my tail was down and I was TREMBLING. I was hurting. Mommy checked my limbs for injury and felt for fever. Luckily none of those things were conclusive. So she gave me an antacid and went to work. She planned to call the DOGTER when she got to her office. She also talked to her SUPERVISOR about leaving early to take me there. The supervisor said sure. Mommy left early in the afternoon.
Mommy RUSHED home as fast as the traffic would allow. When she opened the door I bounded up to her like normal. I was telling her the ANTACID worked and I felt perfectly NORMAL and did not HAVE TO go see the dogter.
Nice try, Mommy said and took me anyhow. The DOGTER gave me a once over and declared me FIT AS A FIDDLE and sent me on my way. Told you, Mommy.
When Mommy got home she rushed around the house making things ready for Trick or Treaters and making dinner for the HUMANS in the house. It was nearly TnT time when she remembered I needed a COSTUME if I was going to greet guests at the door.
This - my very first Halloween Costume (That's a Bowl of Noodles) was what she choose. It still fit. The only difference is I STILL WORE MY HALLOWEEN POWER PAWS.
So, that was a little disappointing. But I did totally ROCK the costume and made it my own.

Building Blocks for My Halloween Costume
Mommy! These are TWISTED! Maybe you put them on too FAST?
I take my costume making very very SERIOUSLY. That is why I do NOT wear the same thing year after year after year. I CUSTOMIZE them every year. This year I decided to use one of my FAVORITE accessories ever - Power Paws by Woodrow Wear.
This post is NOT a review nor am I paid to write it. In a way it's an endorsement because I LOVE MY POWER PAWS. So this year my SOCKS are what I am building my costume on. It is a small touch that I think makes my costume uniquely MINE. If you don't know much about POWER PAWS, there is a link above and in my sidebar to their website. I also did a review of them a couple of years ago but it is so far down the list I cannot find it. I have worn them for years. Originally we got them for Molly because when her FOOT FUR gets too long she falls on the stairs. These are TRACTION socks so Mommy thought they would help her. AND THEY DO. They are traction socks, sure. And they are also good for SNOW socks, I know.
I like them because they are so stylish.
I have so many now here is an example of the variety available (and I have all of these . . . I mean MOLLY and I have all of these)
So you can see there are enough styles and colors that I can do almost ANYTHING like . . .

HOWL-n-Good Treats #chewyinfluencer AND My Costume is Ready for the BIG NIGHT
I am here to alert my FANS to a wildly good TREAT. As you know, I am all about the treats. And especially during Halloween when the HUMANS want to put me in costume. So I asked Chewy.com for a HALLOWEEN treat and they came through in a BIG way with Blue Buffalo Boo Bars.
We kind of ate them up
They were only for a limited time but I gotta say - we LOVED them and they are totally worth the wait for next year. BUT you don't really have to because Chewy.com carries Blue Buffalo Health Bars (and there is a pumpkin cinnamon flavor just like the Boo Bars) all year round.
What we like best is they are CRUNCHY but not too tough that Molly-with-the-limited-teeth can't enjoy them. She totally does. Also, Blue Buffalo Boo Bars (or Health Bars) are a nutritious treat made with all natural ingredients - and they are free of poultry by-product meal, corn. wheat and soy. So many pooches with allergies can still enjoy these treats.
Here is what BOO BARS are made of
Oatmeal, Barley, Oat Flour, Pumpkin, Flaxseed (Source of Omega 3 and 6 Fatty Acids), Cane Molasses, Carrots, Salt, Canola Oil (Source of Omega 6 Fatty Acids), Cinnamon, Calcium Carbonate, L-Ascorbyl-2-Polyphosphate (Source of Vitamin C), Preserved with Mixed Tocopherols and Oil of Rosemary, Vitamin E Supplement.
We recommend you try some TODAY!
**We received a bag of Boo Bars free of charge from Chewy.com for the sole purpose of trying them and writing a review. All opinions are our own and we received no payment whatsoever.
NOW FOR THE BIG COSTUME REVEAL
Tell me what you think!!!!
Molly was less than thrilled with hers

Four Days To Left Until HOWL-O-Ween! What To DO!!
EEEEEKS!!!!!
OMIPUG!!! I am running out of time to CREATE the perfect COSTUME. I have had my THINKING cap on so tight that I have a headache!!!! And it has to be good, you know. My public demands it of me.
I whipped out some fabric and hauled out the SEWING machine in hopes of inspiration. So far I have NOTHING but a color scheme.
I guess that is what my weekend will be consumed by - COSTUME creation. I feel extra pressure given the AWESOME costumes worn by all of my FURiends who entered my contest. Give them all another hand for being so creative and daring!
Good luck to all of you still in the same predicament as me.

After Halloween Sale - Why Oh Why?
My Mommy #2 loves loves loves to shop sale tables. That is when she can afford to buy the stuff she wanted to buy BEFORE Halloween. Well, she could afford it before but couldn't justify spending the money. But when things are 50%, 60% and 75% OFF - well what's there to justify?
So she has some spare time and wandered over to Target, her home away from home, and scoured the sale spots. The Target associates were already tearing down Autumn and Halloween and putting up Christmas. So much for Thanksgiving which is still more than three weeks away.
There was a lot of chocolate, which is unusual; and she bought some to take to the showcase she is involved in. She works backstage and sometimes chocolate is the only way to keep going. There was also some decorations and she picked up one she had her eye on when it was full price.
The she started going through the costumes. She couldn't find any for pooches, thank goodness. But as she was going through the costumes for babies, what did she spy? Not one, not two, BUT A WHOLE BUNCH of pet costumes. Most of them were t-shirts which she was not too interested in. But one caught her eye and she could not let it go. . . and for $5 why should she?
And even though it is a LARGE and I am a MEDIUM husky SHE BOUGHT IT!
Are you SERIOUS, MOM?
But I'm humiliated
What did you say?
I definitely heard TREAT!!!
What do you think? Is it me?

Marvelous Minion
I am one lucky PUG! Every Friday MODERN DOG MAGAZINE has Friday Freebies and I always enter for something. I don't often win but playing is half the fun.
Last month, around Halloween they were offering Minion Halloween Costumes. One was a GIRL Minion. I must confess, a lot of my Halloween Costumes are what would be generally considered BOY costumes. And, as all my FURiends know, I am a GIRL. So that is what I told the people at Modern Dog Magazine - that if I won the GIRL costume my Mommy would HAVE to stop dressing me up as a boy.
They BOUGHT IT!!!!! I won a Minion Costume and I was so happy I danced and danced and danced. As luck would have it, "Despicable Me" was on tv and I watched it with renewed interest because NOW I would be representing GIRL MINIONS everywhere.
The costume was provided by Rubie's Pet Shop, a division of Rubie's Costumes. Take a moment to check out their costumes. They have almost anything you can imagine and for really decent prices.
Not too much later, like a couple of weeks or less, after receiving the news I had won, I received an email from Erin at Rubie's Pet Shop Boutique. She asked the important stuff like SIZE and ADDRESS. I figured I was in for a long wait.
Not so long. The costume arrived while I was at Auntie K's cozy home. The minute I saw the box, I knew what it was and I was jumping for joy!!!
I have a lot of clothes - not as many as some, but probably more than average. I wear them when the mood strikes me or when Tiffy comes over to play. It's fun.
This Minion Costume is TOP QUALITY! I loves loves loves it so much that I think I will simply wear it JUST BECAUSE! It is made of soft flannel and is sized just right for my svelte PUG body. The hat is comfortable too and I didn't try to shake it off even once!
You can't really tell from this picture but the bottom has a skirt like attachment. I almost look girly in it.
I cannot wait to SHAKE MY TAIL at the next Pugoween. I am pretty sure I will TOTALLY win the BEST BOUGHT COSTUME contest.

DIY Costuming Conundrum
Time is running by so quickly! I am in a little bit of a panic regarding Halloween this year. Yes, I could wear something from my VAST costume closet; but that just isn't satisfying. I am a creative PUG, you know. I must come up with something new and different this YEAR.
So I rummaged all through my fabric piles, pattern piles, craft piles AND I STILL have no idea what to do. In the past, I have done costumes like:

My Inspiration
Who DOESN'T love the look of the Storm Troopers - minions of Darth Vader? I mean, look at them! So crisp, uniform, and commanding! And I am pretty sure they are not ALL men because that would be so SEXIST and we ARE talking a futuristic time.
So a STORM TROOPER is what I decided to be for Halloween. I know it is not dainty LIKE ME. . . and not girly LIKE ME. . . but it is kinda KICK B--T which is very LIKE ME.
So here are the first shots taken of my costume - during the final trying on BEFORE the laser and latches were complete.

Tomorrow I will let you know about my FUN DAY at Pugoween with my pal Bellatrix, her sweetheart Spencer B, our mutual PUPpals Zoey and Phoebe and a cast of hundreds (maybe).
