Four Days To Left Until HOWL-O-Ween! What To DO!!

EEEEEKS!!!!!
I'ma running SCARED now! When did September end? Why is it so close to the end of OCTOBER? I was caught totally UNAWARES by this crazy crazy weather we have been having! It's HOT outside, again. So un-Fall like. Even the trees are a little confused. I saw some BUDDING last week.

OMIPUG!!! I am running out of time to CREATE the perfect COSTUME. I have had my THINKING cap on so tight that I have a headache!!!! And it has to be good, you know. My public demands it of me.

I whipped out some fabric and hauled out the SEWING machine in hopes of inspiration. So far I have NOTHING but a color scheme.

I guess that is what my weekend will be consumed by - COSTUME creation. I feel extra pressure given the AWESOME costumes worn by all of my FURiends who entered my contest. Give them all another hand for being so creative and daring!

Good luck to all of you still in the same predicament as me.

So Sew Here I Go

This is where I sit when Mommy #2 is sewing. See the machine case to my left? I would prefer to be a little closer but the machine peddle gets in the way, PLUS Mommy has to get up A LOT when she sews and so I get in her way. But I really like this spot. See? I have my fleecy cushion there, a ray of sunshine is generally there, and Mommy is in full view. What a perfect place.

Mommy has been sewing a lot lately. She has made a number of things for Mommy #1 like a thing called a SCRUNCHIE and a TOGA. Once she finishes the shirt and skirt sitting on the machine right now, she is going to make me a special dog bed. It is something she has in mind and not something from a pattern. Should be interesting. She has bought several kinds of materials to make me beds or costumes - but they sit on a shelf as she never got around to making them.

Here's pics of a few of the costumes she has made for me in the past

My first Halloween - A Bowl of Noodles
The inspiration for my blog title

Flying Pig - the head was too large and blinded me

Puckhead - Ultimate SJ Sharks fan

Mommy #2 has an unhealthy obsession
with Storm Troopers.

One of my favorites. Mommy knitted the hat as well.

SEW What?

Our Mommys, Molly's and Mine, used the long holiday weekend to sew. They are working on a commemorative quilt for a friend and they have not made a real quilt in years and years. YET they volunteered to make the quilt to help out a FRIEND.

Molly and I wanted to be near them as much as possible so we stayed in the room, enjoying the sunny spots (not many, it was a gray weekend) and offering advice when we could. We have a very very good sense of design, believe it or not.

So the FRIEND gave them a bunch of fabric squares and said - GO FOR IT! These fabric squares were something ELSE. People cut up old clothes (would be okay except for the stains!!!!), old napkins, old dishtowels, and so on. Some people hit up JoAnn Fabrics and got small pieces of some pretty cool stuff! I helped my Mommy #2 decide what squares to combine together, which was tricky. The MOMMYS were looking for a cohesive look without being too monochromatic.

They hemmed and hawed over the best way to present them and finally Molly's Mommy said - EUREKA! I got it!!!

This is what she came up with. Looks pretty cool, huh?

They still have a ways to go on the quilt and are anxious to do more. They have a June 8 deadline and there are not a lot of days between now and then. I am confident they will do it soon and it will be lovely. I'll update you next weekend when the BIG SEW WHAT begins,
