Pink is Past but NOT Really Passe

Today, November 1, marks the end of Breast Cancer Awareness month. But guess what. The FIGHT still continues and I was to remind everypuggy that Breast Cancer is not a one month thing. We should think about it every day and fight against it and FOR MORE research and recovery every single day.

Going PINK

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and therefore ALL month my BLOG will be PINK. Occasionally I may even discuss Breast Cancer and how it affects us all. I really think this is something everyone should be interested in and supportive of even if it has not affected you. But statistically speaking, at one time or another - it will. And it happens to MEN and WOMEN. Therefore it is a HUMAN CAUSE and deserves our full attention. Knowledge is power.

And, I realize a lot of vendors are hopping on the PINK bandwagon and producing pink products with Cancer Awareness ribbons. It is not all about fashion, though. Make sure you are buying from a company that is contributing to cancer research and/or programs to help those with cancer.

That's my soapbox for today.

Pinking it UP for October Breast Cancer Awareness Month

We at A Bowl of Noodles are PINKING it up ALL month long in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. We won't be talking about it all month, but from time to time we will. I, pugsonally, feel it is extremely important that we talk about Breast Cancer and that we support research into better treatments - and ultimately a CURE. 

That is why WE are all about ALL THINGS PINK. 

It is an important topic which needs to always be in the FOREFRONT of the news. It isn't gone. It isn't going away. . . YET.  Noodles the Pug

I really really really like PINK. It makes me feel ALL GIRLY. And that is why I am promoting October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Granted, it isn't just a girl issue - but it mostly is. And we girls HAVE to stick together and promote the health of Our Girls. You know, GIRLS just wanna have fun, and be healthy, and LIVE. So show your support by PINKING it up this month.

Well, I am a little confused. I thought this was a POST about P!NK the performer and that SHE was going to show up here. So, well. . . I am a little upset it ISN'T about her, but in a way IT IS! P!NK is about empowering women and Breast Cancer Awareness Month is about GIRL POWER. Keep the dialogue open. Keep the money going to research. Keep the survival rate marching upward. So BRIGHT I Need Shades

This is my new TOUGHHOUND All Sports Collar. It is BRIGHT pink and has my name on it. Mommys recently were looking at collars for me - distinct ones so they can pick me out in a crowd of PUGS. They checked them out at those BIG pet stores and even our favorite Dog Boutique - Biscuits Give a Dog a Bone in Japantown.  Nothing quite struck their fancy and they generally left disappointed. I do not wear a collar around the house, if I must be honest. But more and more my Mommys have been thinking they need something besides my METRO harness on me when I am in a PUG crowd. Unbelievable that they would EVER have trouble picking ME, a Pug Princess, out in a crowd.

But I digress.
