My assistant is sooooo tired today that she has already told me to make it a QUICK blog today. I had other plans but decided to do a quick chat about some really unique treats I got at the Pet Expo earlier this month. I tried A LOT of different treats and they were all good. But these treats stood out from ALL the OTHERS.
The treats are called Elektra's Dog Treats and they are made by a family-owned bakery in San Rafael (in Marin, north of my hometown), California. The PEOPLE side of the bakery, Glyká-Sweets, is known for their Greek cookies; so making doggie cookies seemed a natural progression from there.
What makes these dog cookies different from the rest? Why the Greek inspired flavors:
- Spinach and Feta
- Pumpkin Pie
- Banana Biscotti
I tried them all - they are just as yummy as they sound and they all have a good CRUNCH. Even picky Molly liked them a lot.
So check them out sometime when you just want something a little different.

We're sure we'd love those, and SHE'd love those little almond crescents, but alas, we'll just have to envy from afar.
Ooh, that DOES sound yummy!
I guess we caught you on your way out to a toga party, right Noodles? :)
Those treats sound excellent. I'd definitely "sit" or "stay" for one of those!
-Love,
Sid.
