I Am So Excited to Be BACK!

I'm so excited to be back

Oh my, oh MY! It has been so very long since I chatted with you all! In fact, it was around my BIRTHDAY when my computer CRASHED. It is finally fixed and Mommy and I have been spending a lot of time resetting it and getting all of the files back. It has been quite a trial, I tell you. And Mommy STILL cannot get her password file to open. Given her memory these days, it is a problem.

But I am back and I am going to make it my NEW MISSION to keep up with my posts.

It has been a crazy Summer, you all. It has mostly been unseasonable cool, which is weird. And the last week some extreme heat blew through. Then this week it is cool again. I never know what to expect when I walk out the door. Maybe that is a good thing because it keeps me on my toes. But HEY HIDDEE HO! It is confusing. I never have the right FURS on.

So what else is new. . . Oh yeah, Mommy #2 abandoned me. Yes she did. For almost a whole week. She decided she needed to escape to the sea shore and the place she was staying does not allow PUGS! Okay, okay. Not just pugs. Mommy wasn't allowed to go either. It made me really really sad but I at least had Mommy #1 to cuddle with and that is a BIG TREAT for me. I cherish all the time I have with her because in September she returns for her final year at university. That is going to be a long time without her.

Finally I need to get something off my pug chest which is making me really really sad today. It is the shooting on Sunday in Gilroy, CA. It is very very close to home and in a place one just does not expect these things to happen. But you know what? These things are happening, and they are happening everywhere. No place is immune. . . no place is safe. Not completely, anyhow. And it makes my heart hurt. I don't understand why humans do these things. What is so bad about letting other people live their best life even if yours is not so good? Why does anger lead to such an uncontrolled outburst. And why do people think guns are the answers to things they don't like? A gun is dangerous and the outcome is almost always permanent (for someone). I don't want to make this political because it isn't a political issue really. It is a HEART HURT issue.

So happy the computer is up and running.

Yes, so sad that people think violence is the answer.

Lady is planning a trip to Africa next year and people keep telling her it isn't safe. She keeps saying it isn't safe anywhere. She will take reasonable precautions - that is all we can do in these dangerous and sad times.
