The Case of the NEW Case

The other day a BIG box came for my Mommy #1. I didn't know what it was and Mommy #2 said it was not for her or me. It clearly was not a box from Chewy.com because there was no delicious FOOD-LIKE smell emanating from it. But I admit, I was very curious about it.

When Mommy #1 came home from university to spend the weekend, she opened the box. It was a present from Mommy #2  who KNEW all the time what it was. It was a SUITCASE! A new more grown-up suitcase for #1 since she is now NOT A CHILD. Gone is the Princess suitcase that lights up.

AND I know what a suitcase means. It means SHE and possibly THEY are soon going on a trip - quite possibly without me. I hear things, you know. And more than once I have heard D-I-S-N-E-Y batted around. And as we all know, only service dogs are allowed in the Land of Mouse.

So I decided I wanted to go along on whatever adventure they were planning and therefore I jumped INTO the suitcase and made myself comfortable. That way, I figured, they would HAVE to take me.

Take that HUMANS, I teased! You can't get me outta here and I am quite comfortable. You can pack around me and no one will be the wiser. You know I love Dland. You KNOW I love M-i-c-k-e-y MOUSE. You know I HAVE to go with you.

This is the look I gave when they told me any planned trip is A MONTH away and did I really want to LIVE in a suitcase for a full month? I thought about it and decided maybe that was not the WISEST thing to do, so I hopped out.

Just in case, I pulled these little beauties out of the HAT BOX. Hey Guys! I am ready when you are.

Just saying . . .

Got a Mouse on My Mind

I know, I know. You hear this from me A LOT! Disneyland this. . . Mickey Mouse that. . . I KNOW!
I just can't help it - I am a M-O-U-S-Eaholic. And this time of year - as we are approaching Thanksgiving? Well I just can't help but ponder a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth. How I long to be sitting on the curb (which is cleaner than my kitchen), sipping hot cocoa, eating the tastiest gingerbread cookie in town, and watching A Christmas Fantasy Parade. Ahhhhhhh! That is living.

Do you think there is a Disneyland Addicts Anonymous? Someplace you can go and talk about your addiction and perhaps work through it?

Maybe there is a 10 step program for Disney addicts? Yeah, I know IT should be 12 steps but I thought that was too many. . . maybe I can shorten it to something I can handle better. . . like FIVE?
Let's see. . . it would go something like this:

  1. I acknowledge that I am addicted to THE MOUSE. I must find strength to resist his smiling face and cheerful walk.He is a CARTOON CHARACTER.
  2. I strive to NOT walk into that gate believing I am walking into the Happiest Place on Earth and that all my cares will melt away. It is just a THEME PARK.
  3. I must make it my goal to save money for the future and not spend every dime I make on a 3 day trip to SoCal. IT IS OVERPRICED- gate price, food, accommodations, etc)
  4. I need to search for other truths than "I only hope that we don't lose sight of one thing - that it was all started by a mouse." WALT DISNEY WAS JUST A MAN.
  5. I. . .  .I. . . . I GIVE UP!! Hello Disney Travel? Can you book my trip for Thanksgiving to the Happiest Place on Earth? Yes. . . I'll HOLD.
(voice over phone: "Your wait will be approximately 30 minutes. . .")

Stella Rose Long KNOWS Me So Well

So we finally got our new coats from Auntie S (Style on Four Paws boutique). I must say we are loving them even though we could NOT WEAR them all last weeks with temps jumping to 80 degrees Fahrenheit! OMP, absolutely NOT fleece wearin' weather. But this week may be another story as we are dropping to more Springlike temps with possible showers.

Stella Rose Long (Three Little Pugs) guessed my design absolutely CORRECTLY:
M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E

Molly got a different Disney design - the turtles from "Finding Nemo".

These coats feature:
  • Velcro fastening belly belt
  • Two rows of crochet IN YOUR CHOICE OF COLOR OR COLORS
  • Slot for collar
  • Sized to fit YOUR size

Aren't they the best? If you are interested in getting one for yourself, look to the right for Auntie S's ad.

Meeska, Mooska, Mouseketeers And Other Adventures

Oh My PUG! I have so much to tell you and not so much time to do so. It all started LAST Tuesday when Mommy packed her bags and MY bags. I thought perhaps we were all heading back up to Tahoe since it has been a couple of years since we last went there for vacation. But no. That was NOT to be our destination. Truth be told - we were not even going to the SAME place!

My Mommys, Aunties and Cousins were ABANDONING Molly and Me in favor of that BIG HUGE MOUSE - Mickey! Molly,  it turns out, was heading over to Auntie D's house for 5 days. She loves being with Auntie D (although as it happened, she barked and whined almost the whole time). But WHERE was I going? Can't go to Auntie B's anymore due to new hardwood floors. Can't go to other Aunties because they can't have dogs (but what about PUGS???) or allergic to my furs. So . . . .  Mommy packed me up in the car and drove me over the hill, past Auntie B's house and toward the Altamont windmills . . . . . and we stopped at . . .

Hi. I'm Tiffy and I will be
your camp counselor this
week.
TIFFY'S HOUSE!!!!!

That is right Peeps and Pugs. Read it and weep! I got to spend 5 magical days at Tiffy's house with her AWESOME Humom, Michele. I recognized the house right away when I smelled the door. Then I heard Tiffy bark at the doorbell ringing and I KNEW it was my pal. You should have seen the tail wagging (or in my case, the BUTT wagging). I am one lucky Puggy.

Not that I didn't SORTA play Tiffy's mom a bit. Like. . . waking her at 3 am in order to pee AND THEN attempting to convince her it was BREAKFAST time. No, she DID NOT fall for it at all. Then there was the second day OR as I like to call it -BARFAPALOOZA. That is right. I barfed. Not just tossing my cookies from eating too fast . . . no, I barfed up a long green smelly HAIR BALL that rivaled Sunshine the Cat's worst! Auntie Michele was a little worried never having encountered a PUG tossing a hairball. But my mommy RATTED on my predilection for licking rugs, fuzz, and blankets which would definitely cause a hairball. Since I acted pretty normal after said BARF action, Auntie Michele decided I was probably not really sick and she would just keep an eye on me to make sure there was no REPEAT incident.

Tiffy and ME played quite a bit which is not something I do a lot of. I guess because I am used to Molly's puppy exuberance, I am a bit more open to playing than I use to be. That Tiffy is some character, I tell you. And did you know . . . she eats FASTER than I do? Ha!!! I thought no one could beat my eat-speed. What that meant, though, was my land-sharking was temporarily halted until I returned home to Molly-picky-slow-eater. Hehheh. Watch out Molly!

The rest of my visit went without incident and I settled in quite nicely, thank you very much. I even allowed myself to perch on Tiffy's favorite chair back. We switched back and forth between us for who would be on the back and who be on the cushion. That Tiffy is a good sharer.

Know what happened the LAST DAY I was at Tiffy's place? We had an impromptu PUG PARTY! Yes! Noodle and Mochi, and Zoey and Phoebe AND their respective 'rents came over. Talk about FUN! Did I say we had F-U-N? I love those pugs!
I am smiling because my Mommys are back!

Next thing you know the door bell rings and everypuggy starts barking and running toward the door. Even me. That is, until the door opened and there were my Mommys. I turned tail and RAN back to the kitchen where I cowered. Mommy thought it was because I didn't want to LEAVE TIFFY's place. That was NOT TRUE. I was a little confused that it was not really them. So I ran. . . but then . . . I heard the one voice that can calm my biggest fears. . . Mommy #2!

And look what she brought Tiffy and Me -
Do we look good or what?

Thank you Auntie Michele and Tiffy for being the BEST hosts around and making a lonely PUG not so lonely at all!
Love You - MUAH!
