Throw Back Thursday - Asian Style
This is me on my SECOND Halloween. I am a bowl of NOODLES - Get it.
In China, where PUGS originate (and my Mommy #1 one did too), NOODLES are a symbol for a long life. This is why NOODLES are served on important occasions.
NOODLES are also considered a COMFORT FOOD - and for my Mommy #1 this is so true. She loves loves loves her noodles (and her NOODLES).
So Xīnnián kuàilè - New Year HAPPINESS, Xīnnián hǎo - New Year GOODNESS. . . and make sure to have your

Sushi Noodles
Have you ever tried SUSHI? I did for the first time this weekend. I cannot imagine why MY Mommys kept such a wonderful secret from me! It was moist and succulent. Just the kind of food a PUG likes.
As if there is some food a PUG does NOT like!
Anyhoooo
My Mommy #2 was making 3 kinds of SUSHI:
- Inarizushi which looks like a canvas bag with rice in it
- Kappa maki which is rice stuffed with cucumber and wrapped in seaweed
- Avocado sushi which is like the kappa but avocado rather than cucumber
First Mommy let me try the seaweed. YUM YUM YUM! It melted in my mouth spreading tasty awesomeness all over. Then she let me have some cucumber which I have had before but I still like it very much. This was fresh fresh fresh and was so sweet and juicy. THEN Mommy made me a really tiny kappa maki just for me! Oh my PUG! It was so yummy. The texture was smooth but grainy (from the rice) and crunchy (from the cuke). I begged and begged for more but Mommy cut me off at one. She wanted to make sure I could handle it before she let me have more.
Know what? I totally did handle it! No adverse reaction at all except for occasional FARTS. I do those anyhoo so who's to say if the SUSHI caused it?
The moral of my story is - if you haven't tried SUSHI yet, tell your rents you totally wanna and to get you some STAT!

A-Buzz Buzz

| WHAT was THAT??? |
I had this really WEIRD dream last night. I was all alone in the back yard checking out my SPOTS and listening to the neighborhood gossip. When all of a sudden I heard this loud BUZZING. Now, I have never had a BEE encounter and I do NOT intend to have one anytime soon. So I immediately started looking around for the bee hive, bee swarm (yes, we had one not long ago), bee ANYTHING. I looked under the APRICOT trees (mmmmmm! I had a snack while there), under the plum and apple trees (not ripe yet), under the play structure, through the roses and cacti (how did I miss all those thorns???) and around the house. I did not spot a single bee. I did not spot a single wasp. Nothing buzzworthy at all was floating, landing or sunning in and around MY YARD.
But the buzzing continued and finally I forced open one eye . . . wait, why are my EYES closed, I thought. Is this why I couldn't FIND anything in the yard?
Hmmmm. So I FORCED open my eye and looked around. I was in my BED! Asleep! The buzzing was the alarm clock!
Oh Noodles, I thought, you are so ready for a REAL ADVENTURE! But what should it be?????
