Noodles the Pug - College Senior

Doesn't it seem like only YESTERDAY that we sent MY GIRL off to college? It went by so quickly and here it is. . . SENIOR year. I can hardly believe it myself.

This weekend I spent with Mommy #1 on campus. No, her school is NOT that progressive and does NOT allow students to have dogs (or even PUGS) in the dorm or suites. But Mommy gets special permission to once in a while bring me on campus for a long weekend visit. It is so special and I love it so much. She has a 2 bedroom suite so it is like having space ALL TO MYSELF when I hang out in her room. And we sit together in the common area A LOT studying and watching movies. It is so nice.

Then there is the SOCIAL aspect of a weekend visit. I get to see A LOT of Mommy's friends who also live in the suites or nearby off campus. They all take time out of studying to come by and say HI. What I like most about being on the college campus is the sense of purpose that everypuggy has. It is kinda exciting. I will miss it a lot once Mommy #1 graduates (Spring 2020).

We didn't go a lot of places over the weekend, just hung out together. I really really enjoy doing that. We don't get to often enough.

Today Mommy #2 came by to get me. It was an extra special thing because I got to go to Mommy #1's work(campus job) and meet all the people she gets to work with AND THAT is from where M#2 picked me up. They are some pretty cool folk and I was so happy to put faces with names AND scents. Mommy talks about them a lot - but you know humans, their ability to accurately describe another BEING is quite limited.

I am happy as a clam to be back home. I know Molly missed me a lot. I know Mommy #2 likewise missed me a lot although she won't say as much. She does not want Mommy #1 to think it is NOT okay to steal me away for a couple of days. She thinks like that - my HuMOM #2 does.

My Excitement is Unlimited

I know. A picture is worth a THOUSAND words. But I think this one is only worth about 500 words because it does not tell a complete story. I am so so so SO happy now because Mommy #1 has returned home for the SUMMER. Yes, you heard me right.

FOR. THE. WHOLE. SUMMER!

It started on Wednesday last week when Mommy came home with some boxes from Mommy #1. Then the NEXT EVENING, Aunt T brought MORE home. THEN . . . then . . . then. . .

Mommy went to campus and made her car look like this. It was filled to the absolute max with Mommy #1's clothes and stuff. It is amazing how much stuff 1/2 of a suite holds, huh? Anyhow she brought ALL of this AND Mommy #2 home with her.

It took some time, but now Mommy #2 is fully moved back in and her room looks like HER SPACE.

And me? I am so HAPPY I could . . . NAP

Noodles on Mommy #1's Birthday and College Life

Last weekend was Mommy #1's BIRTHDAY! I find that so exciting! Of course we HAD to celebrate even though she is already overwhelmed with school work. Everypuggy deserves a break now and then.

So Mommy #2 and I went to the college campus to visit her and take her to breakfast. Here is the FUN part - I got to go to the restaurant TOO! We went to the Lazy Dog Restaurant in Cupertino,CA. It is not too far from campus and from our house. And DOGS are allowed there. I have been to Lazy Dog a number of times and I find it most agreeable.

It was a beautiful NorCal Fall morning, sunny with puffy clouds dotting the mountains surrounding the valley. And there was a nice cool breeze keeping the air fresh and clean. We sat on the patio which was perfect. At first I was the only PUP there. Before long there were plenty of dogs to share the patio. There was another small white dog, possibly a Maltese, a HUGE brown dog with spots, a smaller shorthaired long snouted pup . . . one table had a variety pack of 3 dogs. . . it was plenty activity. I was a good girl. I stayed close to the table (okay. . . I WAS on a LEASH, afterall) and did not bark or otherwise vocalize.

Afterward we drove by the Apple HQ - or the Space Ship, as it is called. We did not get out of the car but I GOOGLED some pictures for your ENTERTAINMENT.

Mommy #2 left me and Mommy #1 at the Villas where Mommy #1 lives. SURPRISE! I was spending the night! Oh what fun I had. We wandered around campus visiting FRIENDS and seeing all of my favorite places like this fountain at the entrance. It was so fun.

Later on, Mommy and her roommate and I sat on the couch and watched MOVIES. It was a lot of fun. I will never forget celebrating Mommy's birthday like that and spending so much time with her.
