Tell Me A Story

It's one of those days when I am having a tough time getting up and at 'em. Could be the late nights finishing my HALLOWEEN COSTUME. . . I don't rightly know.

So while I sit here HOVERING over my cuppa JAVA, perhaps you can indulge me by telling me a HALLOWEEN story?

Here, I will get you started. . .

Once Upon a Time. . .

* There is a distinct chance of a prize for the best story

there was a little mixed pug/dachshund named Lucy. She had a nice home and peeps who loved her dearly. On Halloween night there was so much commotion at the front door. Lots of trick or treaters. She did not understand what was going on. The door bell kept ringing and the peeps answered the door every time with great exclamations of excitement. On one occasion there were so many people at the door that the peeps did not notice that little Lucy had ventured out the door. Lucy thought to herself that she would examine this happening personally. Off she went into the night, following a group of children. Soon her little legs could not keep up with the group and she was left behind. Little Lucy became worried as she had no idea how to get home! It was dark and she was scared. She started to howl her distress. She kept on howling for a long time. Soon one of her peeps came up the street calling her name. The peep said "I have been looking everywhere for you. I am so happy to have found you!" Little Lucy wiggled and jumped up and down. She too was happy to see her peep. Lots of kisses were exchanged on the street and once she was home with the other peep. Never again did Lucy leave the house without at least on of her peeps with her.
The End

...there was a beautiful supermodel named Anna. It was a cold and stormy day and her mama put her in the car. Where was they going Anna wondered. When they arrived to their destination, she could sniff where countless other doggies has been. But where was they? They had DISAPPEARED! Quietly Anna walked into a room and the door slammed shut. Oh nos! Then she heard footsteps get closer, and closer....the door opened and a white ghost appeared!! OH NO! Then Anna realized it wasn't a ghost, but something much, much worse...it was DR. VET! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Can't wait to see your costume!!

Once upon a time, a ridiculously handsome boxer was getting ready for Howloween. He'd had the brilliant idea that he would go as the skeeriest thing around and terrifying ALL the trick-or-treaters. Yes, he was going to go as the dreaded VACULA!! Well, for weeks this handsome boxer anticipated how very skeery and terrifying he was going to be. Yes, this was just going to be the best Howloween EVER! But then... something TERRIBLE happened. His momma was getting everything set out for Howloween, but he noticed something odd -- no Vacula!!

"Excuse me, Momma, you seem to have misplaced my skeery costume."
"Oh Handsomest Dog Ever, it was a great idea, but I just couldn't put it together. And look how cute you'll be in this!"

CUTE?! CUTE?!?!?! If I had wanted to be CUTE, I could go as my own handsome self! Um... I mean, if this story dog had wanted to be cute, he could've just gone as HIS own handsome self. So instead of being super skeery for Howloween, he had to wear a silly costume that just made him look "cute." And he growled. A lot.

The END!
