Friday FunTime and Special Kisses n Hugs to MY Donald's Family

I apologize for being absent most of this week. Mommy's fault. Not going to sugarcoat it. So I had a lot to say but no time to say it. As I was going through photos trying to come up with something, I ran across this series of pics. I think they are funny and perfect to lead into the weekend. If you have any caption ideas, send them my way - noodlesthepug@aol.com (noodlesthepug(at)aol(dot)com). The best one gets a prize.

On a more sober note, my FURiend Donald (of Donald and Daisy) unexpectedly crossed the Rainbow Bridge. I know his family - Daisy, Mom Christie, Dad Tim, Gampy and Gammy are heartbroken and so sad. So I want to give them the BIGGEST VIRTUAL HUG in the whole wide world because I LOVE THEM that much.

ANGEL DONALD, say hi to my BESTIE Payton for me as well.

Saying Goodbye is Hard - Zoey Martinez

Zoey in her new RIDE
Today I am very very sad . My dear dear FURiend Zoey has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. She joins her love YODA as well as too-many-to-name FURiends. I have known ZOEY (and her daughter Phoebe) my whole life. My Mommy #2 met her Mommy via Blogville and it was instant FRIENDSHIP. We saw them at Pug Sunday in San Francisco's Alta Park, we saw them at Pug-o-ween, and we went to Bark in the Park with them too. Zoey was a FREE SPIRIT and I loved just spending time with her, soaking up her pearls of wisdom. In recent times, she had some health issues so her Mommy did not bring her out so much. Nonetheless, ZOEY will always have a very special place in my heart.

To honor Zoey, I am posting photos from her 10th BARKDAY some years back. It was great fun and all of my favorite PUG PEEPS were there. Some I met for the first time and all have become very very good FURiends of mine.

Run free sweet Zoey. You will forever bring a smile to my face with I think of you.

I can't get this photo to rotate. But since the theme was Mad Tea
Party from Alice in Wonderland, it kinds is fitting

As you can see, the decorations totally ROCKED. So did the food. And the party was at this really cool park in Niles (outside of Fremont) where the annual Dog Show is held. We have gone to the Dog Show (which is less about showing and more about being there and enjoying the activities) a couple of times with the Martinez grumble. It is a great fun time.

Zoey's Mommy, Susie, thought of everything. She even had a cartoonist to do portraits of all attendees. I still have mine hanging on my Mommy #2's wall. I think it really captured me.

The Birthday Girl Zoey

I cannot find a photo of my portrait. My bad. Trust me - it is CUTE!!!! This was wayyyyyy before Molly so she was not in attendance.

An Angel Spreads His Wings - RIP Trunks

I had a very different post planned for today - but as has happened all too often lately, the Rainbow Bridge had other plans. My FURiend who I NEVER met in the fur crossed over the bridge last night. He was in a heavy battle with the C Monster. Unfortunately, he just grew too tired to fight anymore.

His Mama, who I have met and who I love a lot, had decided that maybe it was time to let him go. It was decided that TODAY was the day to let him run free. But LAST NIGHT, Trunks made the decision to go ALL BY HIMSELF. He loved his Mama so much that he no longer wanted her to fret over him.

I found out this morning as My Mommys and I looked over Fb. We are all so very sad - but at the same time we are happy Trunks is no longer in pain. So I took the time to write him a little note to let him know how I feel.

Dear Trunks, Please say hi to our beloved FURiends who crossed the Rainbow Bridge before you. You were an amazing fur baby for your mama - you gave her love and happiness above and beyond the call of duty. And when it was your time, you did so quietly and spared her the hardest decision she was ever going to make. Make sure you give her plenty of angel kisses to let her know you are okay. We will miss you Trunks. Love Noodles

Querido Coco

The Rainbow Bridge became a little more colorful yesterday with the passing of my AMIGO Coco. Coco was a super super PUG. He was happy and took really good care of his Mami Sandra and his little sister Amelia. And he had the best and most contagious SMILE ever, as you can see from the photo.

What you cannot see from the photo is that Coco suffered from a very serious disease - Addison's. It is a dibilitating disease which also cost him his eyes. This website http://www.addisondogs.com/ has a lot of good information about Addison's disease. Knowing what to look for is key to helping an afflicted dog survive.

My heart is broken that Coco is no longer with us here on Earth. But at the same time, it is singing with happiness because I was lucky enough to "know" Coco and share his adventures here in Blogville.

Smile on Angel Coco.
