I'm a PUG, After all

Once in a while, I have to remind my humans that I am, alas, a pug. This means I will not answer them back when they ask me "Who's a good girl?" even though we ALL know the answer. I will NOT reveal where something is hidden no matter how often I am asked. And most of all, I will not PROMISE not to eat some random organic STUFF that I find in the yard. I just can't and won't do it.

I am a PUG, after all.

And then there is the controversial habit of dressing me up. Do I like it? Maybe. Do I let it happen without argument? Almost assuredly. Should it happen? Ehhhhhh - that's a gray area. I prance around when I have a particularly FINE outfit on. And maybe I am responding to the treats or promises thereof. But maybe on some level I like it? Who knows?

I am a PUG, after all.

What I am capable of is a lot of LOVE. I am all about the love and I get visibly upset when it is denied me (as if it ever is). I am happiest when I am sitting on my Mommy's lap (#1 or #2, doesn't make a difference). I love when I can follow Mommy everywhere - sticking close to her leg, even touching it, is my favorite thing. And cuddling and snuggling are my best skills. I am so good at both.

I am a PUG, after all.

Oh My PUG! I Love YOU!!

Thank you to all who commented on my cry for validation yesterday. I have just been noticing my numbers falling and wondered if I was still relevant.

SO - THANK YOU

It is so hard nowadays to believe anyone is on the blogs anymore. Face it, we have been usurped by other social media like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. I get it. I am one of those who are
hit-and-run type of followers. I read but seldom comment. So I get it. Especially now with the Holidays fast approaching. But I come from a time when Blogville was everything and all of my FURiends were here. And I keep hoping for this to still be true.

THE WEEKEND IS HERE!

Do you have any plans for the weekend? I have a few things on my docket like visiting my Mommy #1 on campus. I love, love, love  being a college student if only for a day. And it is so nice to spend time with her.

I also plan to get outside for some fresh air because the weather is supposed to be super good for OUT-DOORING. I live in the SUBURBS so there isn't a lot of wild open spaces (that allow dogs) but there are some.

I mostly plan to CHILL. I am the best at this. So while the family is bustling about doing their things, I will be found here, in my favorite spot - Molly's Red Bed.

Have a fantastic weekend my FURiends. I love you all!!!

It's A Whole New World -- And It All Comes Down To LOVE

Mommy 1 and Mommy 2 just got new ears from Disneyland. They have been trying to score a pair (or two) since first hearing about them way back in, I dunno, A LONG TIME. But they are always SOLD OUT online and they were all SOLD OUT everywhere they went in Disneyworld. So what to do? Luckily, Aunt T took a trip down to SOCAL and Disneyland last week and Mommy 2 asked her to be on the lookout for them. She did AND she found them! Omipug my Mommys were so happy.

Why are these important, other than being RAINBOW and awesome? Well these ears are in support of the LGBTQ (etc) community and my Mommys want to show their support of the community. At the end of the day, it is all about LOVE. See the MICKEY GLOVES on the hat? They are symbolizing LOVE. That is really all that matters in this world. Because if there was more of it, there would be less of

  • WARS
  • CRIME
  • HATE
  • DISCRIMINATION
  • EXCLUSION
  • VIOLENCE
You see where I am going with this? So I challenge everypuggy to PICK THE CAUSE OF LOVE and support it wholeheartedly. It can only be a good thing.

Here are my Mommys in their hats

At Her Feet At All Times

Who is the most important HUMAN in my life? Well, there are two and I call both of them MOMMY. Sometimes you cannot tell which of my Mommys I am talking about.

(BTW, I DO know how to spell the plural of "mommy" I just choose not to)

It's okay because I love them equally. That is why I stand to the side until they decide where and how to sit - AND THEN - I will sit down at their respective feet. If they are BOTH sitting at the same time and place, I will usually lay down between them. It is what I do.

When they are cooking, you can find me standing at their ankles or laying down nearby. It isn't always because I am looking to score dropped food. THAT is when I "help" Aunt T cook. No, when Mommy and Mommy are cooking, I NEED to be close by them. It is a need.

I don't want to analyze it too much because I think this desire to stand, sit or recline near MOMMY's feet is out of L-O-V-E for her (and her). I do dearly love my mommys and want them in my sight at all times.

That's all I wanted to say . . .

I LOVE MY MOMMYS

I FEEL SAFE HERE

I feel very SAFE here
I have no need to MOVE
I can rest my PAW near
Here in this GROOVE

I know you'll PROTECT me
From things that make me FLEE
And right here at your FEET
Is the PLACE I wanna BE

I feel very SAFE here
I have no need to MOVE
I have everything for which I CARE
Most of all I have YOU
