Trying Hard to Keep it Wordless - and Failing

Lulu is begging

You all remember Lulu? She went back home Saturday to be with her Mami. I know she missed her a lot. I'm okay with it although it was kinda fun to have a youngun hanging around.

Molly is Begging
So Molly likes to be the center of attention. It happens. Especially when you are a blonde beauty as she is. Because, you know what? She GETS a lot of attention.

Me PRETENDING to NOT beg

Begging is My Art and My Art is Begging

Please, please, please???
I am a WORLD CLASS begger. I excel at running from the farthest reaches of the house when I hear a cabinet opening. I am RIGHT there when someone is prepping a meal. And MY SPOT is under the table by the sloppiest eater.

But I don't stop there. I am known for my VERY VOCAL begging. I whine. I grrrrr. I nip at my right back foot even though it has done nothing to provoke me. I sometimes add a YIP to the mix when the human in question does not share. My repertoire for bugging people has no limit.

Lately I have been getting in trouble for EXCESSIVE begging. I am not clear on what that means. In my mind, if there is FOOD then I am begging. It all started when Mommy was using her magical Instant Pot to sterilize jars. I KNOW food will eventually go into those jars - how was I to know it was not NOW? So I ran from my comfy NEST BED in MY bedroom all the way to the kitchen to get in on the food! But there was apparently NO FOOD and  I got spoken to in a very stern voice by Mommy - AND escorted back to my room. It made me a little sad and confused.

I need a new tactic. Maybe one that is not quite so overt. Any suggestions anyPUGGY? I certainly don't want to get in trouble any more but I also don't want to miss out on UNSCHEDULED treats.

What's a PUG to do?

#ChewyInfluencer Two Weeks in and I'm Feeling YOUNG

Does this PLAYFUL mug look like that of a NINE YEAR OLD pug? Even the white hairs look more like MILK spots than age spots. I tell ya, most days I really do not feel my age. And why, you ask? I guess I would have to say GOOD GENES. But it is more than that because as everyPUGGY knows, you ARE what you EAT.

What I am eating lately is The Honest Kitchen Grain Free Chicken Recipe. As I reported before, this is a basically a RAW diet in a dehydrated form. And I am using it as a TOPPER for my grain-free KIBBLE. To be honest, I think I could it it straight up. It is THAT GOOD!

What I have noticed is that after my ritual licking the bowl IMMACULATE, I am not hungry at all. This is huge and something Mommy #2 looks for in a food. If I am still hungry when I am done eating, then the food is lacking in something. This does NOT MEAN I won't still beg.

Begging is a whole 'nother ballgame

World Class BEGGER

Mommy says I am too dirty to tell if my COAT is better after eating this food. It is always soft so that isn't a test. But it is currently DULL AND DIRTY so after my Saturday bath, we will know the verdict. She does say my eyes are BRIGHT as ever and my skin looks fresh and dewy, like a PUPPY.

All the other signs of a not-too-digestible-food, like BELCHING and FARTING are almost non-existent. I do occasionally pass a little gas. . . but hey! We all do! So it appears I am doing very very well on this FOOD. And even Molly, that picky Maltese, likes The Honest Kitchen Grain Free Chicken Recipe! She had it STRAIGHT UP with no kibble and it suited her just fine.

My energy levels are normal - let's face it, PUGS are not known for being over active. In spurts we are. IN SPURTS, like after a bath. But I did grab a toy the other day and SQUEAKED it all over the downstairs. Granted, the timing was bad as it was during the Dancing With The Stars elimination. But the point is, I was feeling GOOD ENOUGH TO PLAY and that is the way a 9 year old pup should be!

So there you have it. My INTERIM report. I'll check back in a couple of weeks when I complete my Chewy.com 30-Day Challenge.

** I received a month's supply of the product free of charge from Chewy.com in exchange for my ALWAYS honest and NEVER paid for review. All opinions expressed in A Bowl of Noodles belong to me, Noodles the Pug, alone.

The Beggar's Ball . . .

If there is one thing we PETS excel at in our house, it is begging. It has reached EPIC proportions, in fact, where even the BIRDS do it.
The other day, Auntie T was sitting at the kitchen table reading her Kindle and enjoying a bite to eat. Sunshine, never one to miss an opportunity, jumped onto the table to ask for a bite. She was immediately removed FROM THE TABLE and placed on the ground. But she did not give up - she hopped onto the chair next to Auntie T and began her little "GIMME" meow.

Sunshine THOUGHT she had it in the bag. BUT look
who's lurking below

Lo and behold, Molly and I got wind of what Sunshine was up to and WE wanted in on the action, too. Not that there was ANYTHING at all happening. Sunshine was NOT getting tidbits of cheese nor bread, as we were sure she was getting. No matter, we began our TROT and SHOUT for food in hopes of a tidbit or two. Auntie T was having none of it. I don't know how she ignored us - we are so CUTE and everything. She just kept on eating and reading until she was done. Then she got up. . .

We circled like LIONS on the prowl

"WHAT do you three want," she said.
As if she didn't know
